PROF. DR. NOOR AZLIN BINTI YAHYA

Dr. Noor Azlin Yahya is a Professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya. She has held several key leadership roles, including Head of the Dental Materials and Operative Dentistry Disciplines, Coordinator of the Biomaterials & Thermal Characterization Research Laboratories, and Head of the Biomaterials and Technology Research Group. Dr. Noor Azlin’s academic journey began with a prestigious Federal Scholarship for Dentistry in New Zealand, under the Collaborative University of Malaya-University of Otago Programme. She furthered her expertise through postgraduate studies in Restorative Dentistry at the Leeds Dental Institute, University of Leeds, UK. Her research, centred on the synthesis, characterization, and testing of dental materials, has led to numerous ISI publications and the supervision of over 50 undergraduate and postgraduate projects. Dr. Noor Azlin’s academic excellence is recognized globally, with more than 40 awards, including gold medals at prestigious international research expositions in Brussels, Nuremberg, and Geneva. In addition to her academic contributions, Dr. Noor Azlin plays a prominent role in professional associations, serving as President of the IADR Malaysian Section, Vice President of the Malaysian Dental Materials Society (MDEMS), and as a board member of the Asian Network of Dental Materials Societies (ANDeMS). She is also an Adjunct Professor at Universitas Airlangga and a Visiting Professor at Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia.

DR. TONG WEN TING

Wen Ting Tong is a trained implementation researcher who obtained her PhD from the University of Malaya. Her doctoral research focused on developing an effective implementation strategy to integrate patient decision aids into primary care practice, with the aim of facilitating shared decision making. Following her PhD, she joined the National University of Singapore as a research fellow in the Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions (BISI). Currently, she holds the position of senior lecturer at the Department of Primary Care Medicine, Universiti Malaya. Wen Ting's research vision revolves around achieving high-quality healthcare by applying implementation and behavioUral sciences to improve the adoption of evidence-based interventions in healthcare practices. Her research is situated within the multidisciplinary realm of implementation science, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered care. In addition to implementation science, her work encompasses other areas such as epidemiology, e-health, and medical education. Wen Ting also has a keen interest in topics such as sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and health ethics. Apart from her research contributions, Wen Ting has valuable experience in designing and developing online courses on massive open online course (MOOC) platforms, including OpenLearning and FutureLearn. Her courses, "Introduction to Research for Healthcare Professionals" (OpenLearning) and "Manuscript Writing Made Easy" (OpenLearning), have garnered significant enrolment numbers and continue to be highly sought after by clinicians and healthcare researchers. Wen Ting's research has been published in prestigious journals such as Implementation Science. She has also co-written book chapters published by renowned publishers such as Routledge London, and Springer. Moreover, she has received several research awards at international conferences in recognition of her work.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. MOHD ANUAR BIN RAMLI

Mohd Anuar Ramli. He was born and raised in Kampong Air Putih, Junjong, Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia on 26th November 1976. The ninth children of almarhum Haji Ramli Ismail and almarhumah Hajah Sofiah Ariffin. Mohd Anuar received early education in Sekolah Kebangsaan Junjong (1982-1988), then continued secondary education in Sekolah Menengah Agama Tarbiyah Diniah, Kulim, Kedah (1989-1994), pre-university in Nilam Puri (1995-1997), subsequently earned his bachelor’s degree in Syariah (Fiqh & Usul) (1997-2000), master’s degree (2001-2004) and doctorate degree (2005-2010) in Universiti Malaya. He has been serving in Jabatan Fiqh & Usul (Department of Fiqh and Usul), Akademi Pengajian Islam (Academy of Islamic Studies) Universiti Malaya as a temporary lecturer since 2004 and now as a senior lecturer after finishing his doctorate study under Skim Latihan Akademik IPTA (SLAI) in 2010. Mohd Anuar’s areas of expertise are Fiqh of Culture, Fiqh of Gender, Fiqh of Consumerism and other related fields in Islamic studies. He has been teaching Introduction to Shariah, Fiqh of Culture, Fiqh of Consumerism, Fiqh of Worship (Ibadah), Maktabah Shariah and Research Methodology. He produced almost 40 postgraduate master’s and doctorate students and received numerous research grants from both internal university and external fund. Mohd Anuar has published almost 200 articles, chapters in books and conference papers in various categories either in the international or local level. The published writings cover diverse areas, such as custom and culture, gender, halal and consumerism, religious extremism and terrorism, contemporary fiqh and Malaysian society. He is always enthusiastic to serve as a versatile scholar that masters numerous fields and learns to explore new research area in Islamic studies framework. Mohd Anuar loves travelling to appreciate the beauty of panoramic nature and cultures of society as well as to enhance life experience and perseverance.
