Prof. Dr. Jennifer Ann Harikrishna is a Professor of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics at the Faculty of Science, University of Malaya, Malaysia. Prof. Jenni is a British citizen with permanent residence status in Malaysia. After completing her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Microbiology at the University of Surrey, U.K. she was awarded a Whitbread Scholarship to pursue her doctoral thesis on the molecular genetics of industrial yeast at the Cranfield Institute of Technology, Cranfield University, U.K. She graduated in 1990 winning the Chancellors Gold Medal for the most outstanding graduate student of the year. Dr. Jenni then moved to the U.S.A. to take up a two year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California in San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Jenni moved to Malaysia in 1991 where she continued her post doctoral research at the University of Malaya, Department of Biology, before joining TropBio Research Sdn Bhd, a small private plant biotechnology company in 1996. In 2001 she joined the Institute of Bioscience at University Putra Malaysia (UPM) as an Associate Professor. Prior to re-joining the University of Malaya in 2006, Dr Jenni was an Associate Professor of Biotechnology at the Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). Prof. Jenni became a full Professor at the University of Malaya in 2011 and holds joint positions as a member of the Faculty of Science and as the Director of the Centre for Research in Biotechnology for Agriculure (CEBAR), University of Malaya. Prof. Jenni also holds a current appointment as an Honorary Visiting Fellow in the Department of Genetics and Genome Biology at the University of Leicester, UK. Her current research focus is on functional genomics and biotechnology for tropical crop improvemnt.

He is an Associate Editor of various top journals such as IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and the Journal of Power Electronics. He is a Professor at the Department of Electrical, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya, since June 1999. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and the Director of Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Research Laboratory (PEARL). He authored and co-authored for more than 400 publications in academic journals and proceedings including 253 International Scientific Indexing, ISI publications, and five books with more than 34,500 citations and 90 H-index. A total of 116 Philosophy Doctorate (Ph.D.) and Master Degree candidates have successfully graduated under his supervision. He has filed six Intellectual Property (IP) in his expertise. He is frequently invited as honorary keynote lectures at international conferences, congress, meetings, and symposiums. Saad Mekhilef has been listed by the Thomson Reuters (Clarivate Analytics) as one of the Highly Cited (Hi.Ci) engineering researchers in the world, and included in the "Thomson Reuters’ The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds: 2018 - 2021". He is actively involved in industrial consultancy for major corporations in the Power Electronics and Renewable Energy projects. His research interests include Power Conversion Techniques, Control of Power Converters, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Smart Grid, Microwave and Wireless Technologies.”
show more »Saedah Siraj is Professor of Curriculum Development at Faculty of Education, University of Malaya. She has served as a lecturer for 37 years and the Dean of the Faculty of Education since 2009-2014, and founding Director of the University Malaya Centre for a Family Development which was established in 2003. She received her Ph.D degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Pittsburgh, in 1990. Her research interests include future curriculum design, innovation of models and modules for mLearning curriculum, empirical methods in futures studies, instruction and learning quality, literacy education especially for indigenous group, and education for aging people. Saedah Siraj is the principal author of the books Kurikulum Masa Depan (Future Curriculum), Kajian Masa Depan dalam Pengembangan Kurikulum (Future Studies in Curriculum Development), Rekabentuk Kurikulum: Teori Praktis (Curriculum Design: Teory and Practice), Pendidikan Anak-anak (Children Education), Remaja dan Strategi Penyelesaian Masalah (Adolescent and Problem Solving Strategy), Design and Developmental Research: Emergent Trends in Educational Research. Chief Editor of the book of mLearning: A New Dimension of Curriculum Advancement, and Cognition and Learning: Issues and Strategies. She has published more than 150 articles locally and internationally. Professor Saedah Siraj is a pioneer in research studies and publications in mLearning in Asia beginning with the hosting and chairing of the international conference on mLearning in 2002. She is also a pioneer in the application of Futures Studies in education. She has successfully secured approval to establish a HUB for experts in Faculty of Education to facilitate research, development and expert services for the country. She has successfully produce more than 38 Phd graduate studends and secured a number of research grants both university and national level. She is now chairman of the Curriculum Association of Malaysia.
