Associate Professor Dr. Norhamizan Hamzah is a progressive clinician-academic at the forefront of neurorehabilitation and rehabilitation medicine, known for integrating advanced technologies with evidence-based clinical practice. Serving at the Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Medicine, she brings a future-oriented vision to healthcare—balancing clinical excellence with academic leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Her research and clinical portfolio spans robotic-assisted therapy, technology-based cognitive rehabilitation strategies and functional recovery in brain injury and neurodevelopmental disorders. She has played a pivotal role in advancing patient care through innovations such as rehabilitation robotics, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), and personalized cognitive interventions. A dedicated medical educator, Dr. Norhamizan leads knowledge development, chairs academic activities and commitees, and mentors medical trainees, residents, and postgraduate researchers across disciplines. Her supervision has shaped a new generation of healthcare professionals grounded in both clinical rigor and research innovation. show more »Dr. Nora Sakina Mohd Noor graduated from the University of Malaya dental school in 2007 before serving the Ministry of Health for 2 years. She later joined the Faculty of Dentistry as a trainee lecturer in 2009 and subsequently pursued her specialist training in restorative dentistry in 2010. She received her Master's in Clinical Dentistry in Restorative Dentistry from University of Malaya in 2014. Currently, she is a lecturer in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, University Malaya with a special interest in endodontics and dental education. Dr. Nora Sakina headed the postgraduate Endodontic module coordinator from Year 2014 to 2019 and currently heads the Endodontic module for undergraduate teaching and is the coordinator for the Master in Oral Sciences (Restorative Dentistry) program. She is also a member of curriculum development for the preparation for the new Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontology programs by the University Malaya. She runs the undergraduate teaching in endodontics and contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Operative and Endodontics. Dr Nora Sakina is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England for the Restorative Specialty Membership Examination (RSME) since May 2021 and is also currently involved in various research and grant collaborations with National Sports Centre, CryoCord, and artificial intelligence in dentistry together with EM²AI Pte Ltd, Singapore.
show more »Dr. Maziah Mat Rosly is an expert on serious games and exergaming for active living. She received her MBBS degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2011 and obtained her Dual PhD in Exercise Physiology and Health Sciences from Universiti Malaya and The University of Sydney in 2019. She is affiliated with numerous serious games programs built for long-term sustainability, cost-efficient deployment and effective health management. Dr. Maziah is mainly responsible for overseeing the development, design and implementation of serious games for education and innovating virtual reality-based exergames to improve adaptability, reduce carbon footprint and, provide highly cost and space-efficient mechanisms for sports and exercise training. Her latest project involves designing a VR cube e-sports exergame feasible for deployment in East Asian urban cities and for space exploration.
