DR. MOHAMED NASHRUDIN BIN NAHARUDIN

Dr. Mohamed Nashrudin bin Naharudin or Dr Nash is a scholar, researcher and youth leader whose work bridges academia, social advocacy, and leadership development the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He completed his PhD from Loughborough University and Universiti Malaya under a Dual PhD Program. Notably, his doctoral thesis investigated the effects of breakfast intake on appetite regulation and subsequent cognitive function and exercise performance. Dr. Nash’s research contributions encompass areas such as athlete recovery, exercise metabolism, and the psychosocial dimensions of sports participation among youth. His scholarly work has been published in reputable international journals and has been cited for more that 200 times reflecting his contributions to these fields. He also has presented at numerous academic and policy conferences, contributing to the growing body of knowledge on sports, human performance and youth development globally. Dr. Nash has represented Malaysia in various youth leadership forums, dialogues, and exchange programs, promoting cross-cultural understanding and sustainable youth development. Locally, he has served in key leadership capacities within youth organizations and think tanks, mentoring emerging leaders and advocating for progressive youth policies. Apart from that, has actively participated in various media engagements, sharing his expertise on sports science and health-related topics. In year 2023, Dr Nash has been appointed by YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sport Malaysia, as one of the board member for National Sport Institute. A year later, 2024, The institute has appointed Dr Nash as expert matter consultant in the area of Sports and Exercise Physiology in ensuring an effective impact in both research and application towards high performance athletes. He also has chaired many meetings (task forces) in ISN and UM. DR. ABDULLAH AL-HADI BIN AHMAD FUAAD

ChM. Dr. Abdullah Al-Hadi Ahmad Fuaad, or Hadi Fuaad, is a certified chemist under the Malaysia Chemist Act 1975 and a Senior Lecturer at the Universiti Malaya. He holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology (Chemistry) from the University of Queensland, Australia. Trained across six leading research institutes in Australia, Malaysia, and the United States, including Harvard University, where he specialized in nanotoxicology. He has extensive experience in modern peptide chemistry, encompassing cyclotide synthesis, protease inhibitors, and toxin analogues. His research integrates computational design, synthesis, and characterization of bioactive peptides for the development of antiviral and vaccine candidates, as well as peptide-based carriers for drug and biopesticide delivery. By combining synthetic organic chemistry and in silico modeling, his work seeks to translate molecular design into real-world biomedical and agricultural applications. DR. NURUL NADHIRAH BINTI OTHMAN

Dr. Nurul Nadhirah, a Senior Lecturer at the Glami Lemi Biotechnology Research Centre, Universiti Malaya, is a renowned researcher in plant biotechnology. She has specialized expertise in the tissue culture of fern species and selected crop plants, making significant contributions to the understanding and cultivation of these plants for both scientific and practical applications.       In addition to her work in plant tissue culture, Dr. Nadhirah has extensive knowledge in taxonomy, systematics, and biodiversity of ferns (pteridophytes). Her academic interests are centered on exploring the vast diversity of ferns, studying their classification, and understanding their ecological roles in different environments. She obtained her PhD in Botany from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, where her research focused on spore culture of various fern species found in Malaysia.      She has published numerous papers on plant tissue culture, fern taxonomy, and biodiversity, establishing her as an expert in the field. She is an active participant in scientific expeditions, collaborating with government and NGOs, to collect valuable data on plant species and contribute to conservation efforts aimed at protecting Malaysia's natural heritage.
