Dr. Mohd Fadhli Hamdan is a lecturer at the Centre for Research in Biotechnology for Agriculture (CEBAR), University of Malaya. His research interest is in the application of biotech tools to improve plants or crops for agricultural sustainability and food security. Previously, he worked as a postdoc at The University of Hong Kong (2019 to 2022), investigating the roles of Acyl-CoA Binding Proteins (ACBPs) during plant development to improve crop yield and resilience to certain biotic and abiotic stresses. Dr. Mohd Fadhli received his Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology (2018) from the University of Manchester, UK, studying plastome engineering and photoconvertible fluorescent protein tagging in plastids. Apart from developing technological tools to improve plants, He is also interested in assessing and increasing public awareness and knowledge of biotech applications in agriculture and food production.
show more »Dr. Maizatul Akmar Ismail is an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. Her academic qualifications were obtained from Universiti Malaya (UM) for her Bachelor's and Ph.D. degree, and the University of Putra Malaysia for her master's. At present, she has more than twenty years of teaching experience since she started her career as a lecturer at the Universiti Malaya. Maizatul leads a research team in the areas of Information Systems specifically on Educational Technology, Recommender Systems, and Data Mining. She has been actively publishing more than 100 research papers at renowned local/international conferences and highly reputable journals, and is currently an Executive Editor of Malaysian Journal of Computer Science. Maizatul has participated in many competitions and exhibitions to promote her research works. She has been appointed as Competition Judges for several international innovation competitions.
show more »Dr. Mohd Rizal Muwazir is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Shariah and Management, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Malaysia. Mohd Rizal completed his PhD in accounting and finance from Cardiff Business School, UK in 2012. He holds a BA in Shariah and Management (2003), and an MBA in accounting (2006) from the University of Malaya. He also holds a Prosgraduate Diploma in Social Science Research Methods from Cardiff University in 2007. Mohd Rizal's main research interests are CSR, corporate governance and sustainability in Islamic banking and finance. His research interests also include Islamic accounting, auditing and disclosure. He is a member of the Shariah Committe of OCBC AL-Amin Bank Berhad. In addition, he is also a research team member at Gulf One Lab for Computational and Economic Research (GOLCER), Lancaster University Management School, UK.
