DR. LAU SU KIA

Lau Su Kia 刘树佳 (PhD) is currently a Senior Language Lecturer (Grade 14) in the Department of Malaysian Languages and Applied Linguistics at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, Universiti Malaya. He also supervises doctoral and master’s students. His research interests encompass Chinese lexicology, corpus linguistics, sociolinguistics, morphology, syntax, and the teaching of Chinese as a second language. His work has been published in journals indexed by WoS, Scopus, ESCI, and CNKI. Additionally, he is a regular contributor to both local and international Chinese newspapers and digests.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. TUTUT HERAWAN

Tutut Herawan is an associate professor at the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya. He is also a research fellow at the Institute for Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (IBDAAI) of UiTM Shah Alam, Malaysia. He was named in the Top 2% World Scientists Ranking by Stanford University and Elsevier BV, since 2019-present and his mathematics Erdos number is 4. He is also named in the most prolific DBLP-computer science authors and one of the best computer scientists from Malaysia according to https://research.com/. He received a PhD degree in information technology from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia in 2010. He was a visiting researcher at Parallel and Distributed Computing Research Lab of Deakin University, Australia. He has more than 18 years experiences as academic staff and has supervised many Master & PhD students. He has also examined many Master & PhD Theses from Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and China. He is the associate editor of Springer Nature Computer Science Journal (Scopus), editor of International Journal of Knowledge and Systems Science, IGI Global (Scopus), and editor-advisory board member of the book series “Information Systems Engineering and Management / ISEM” of Springer Nature. He has edited many Springer-series books and published more than 330 articles in various book chapters, international journals, and conference proceedings (with Scopus h-index 36 and ISI WoS h-index 29). He is a reviewer for international journals including top reputable journals e.g., Knowledge-Based Systems, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Information Sciences, IEEE Access, and many more. He delivered more than 50 keynote addresses, invited workshop and seminars, and has been actively served as a chair, co-chair, program committee member and co-organizer for numerous international conferences/workshops. He is the general chair of the 8th Asian Conference in Pattern Recognition /ACPR-2025, which will be held in Bali, Indonesia. His research area includes data science and big data, data engineering and information systems, soft computing and data mining, and information technology for tourism.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. WAN NURAZREENA BINTI WAN HASSAN

Associate Professor Dr Wan Nurazreena Wan Hassan is a Consultant Orthodontist at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya, whose scholarship bridges digital dentistry with outcomes science in orthodontics. She is a subject-matter expert in Orthodontic-related quality of life (psychometrics as applied to malocclusion), treatment need, and patient-centred outcomes. Her leadership in dental education is demonstrated through pivotal roles as Deputy Dean (Postgraduate), previously Deputy Dean (Undergraduate) and Head of Department (cum Year 5 Leader, BDS), and Coordinator of the Orthodontic Postgraduate Programme, where she has led curriculum design and quality, assessment reform, and learner outcomes. Clinically, she integrates UK training (Cardiff, Wales) with a mini-preceptorship in Korea and a mini-residency in Japan to manage complex orthodontic cases, including cleft and craniofacial care, orthognathic surgery pathways, and obstructive sleep apnoea, translating multi-country best practices into Malaysian settings. Nationally, she serves on the Dental Specialist Evaluation Committee (DSEC) of the Malaysian Dental Council and contributes to evidence-based care, including the Clinical Practice Guidelines on Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) and guidelines in orthodontics. Internationally, she is an Examiner (MOrth Part II and MFDS) for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Her academic influence includes an H-index of 11 (Web of Science) and 320 citations. She continues to expand her research through supervision of more than 23 postgraduates (9 completed PhD/Clinical Doctorate/Clinical Masters; 5 completed masters; 6 ongoing PhD/Clinical Doctorate; 3 ongoing masters) and 15 undergraduate elective project pairs, leads competitive grants, and publishes widely on patient-centred outcomes, digital workflows, quality measurement, and dental education.
