DR. AINUL ASYRAF BIN LOKMAN

Dr. Ainul Asyraf bin Lokman was born in Alor Star, Kedah. His early studies began at SK Puchong Utama 2 (SKPU2), SK Taman Putra Perdana (SKTPP) and SMK Datuk Syed Ahmad (SMKDSA). He was then was offered to pursue foundation study at the Islamic Studies Foundation level of the University of Malaya, Nilam Puri Kelantan. then completed his studies at the Bachelor's Degree level in Usuluddin (Minor in Islamic History and Civilization) with distinction. He received a SLAI scholarship offer from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) to continue his studies directly to the level of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of humanities, specializing in Middle East Studies. Dr. Ainul’s broad academic interests involve Islamicjerusalem Studies, Arab-Israeli Conflict, Palestinian Issue, Conflict Resolution, Islamic History and Islamic Civilization. He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Islamic History, Civilization & Education, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya Kuala Lumpur.

Advancing Dietetics | Public Health Nutrition | Bridging Research, Policy & PracticeWith 14+ years of experience spanning clinical dietetics, academia, and food services, I am a passionate advocate for evidence-based nutrition policies and sustainable public health solutions. Currently a Senior Lecturer in Social & Preventive Medicine at Universiti Malaya, my work centers on creating healthy, sustainable eating environments, improving food safety, and addressing adolescent and community nutrition—grounded in my PhD research and field practice.I proudly serve on the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association council and represent Malaysia in the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAAND).
