Dr. Seuk Wai PHOONG is an Associate Professor in the Department of Decision Science, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She is a member of the Malaysian Mathematical Science Society (PERSAMA). Her research interests include applied statistics, econometrics, time series analysis, bibliometric analysis, and education. She has led 8 research projects out of 24 research grants. She has published papers in various WoS and Scopus journals, such as Sage Open, Artificial Intelligence Review, Humanities and Social Science, Mathematics, International Journal of Mobile Communications, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Energies, Symmetry, Journal of Psychoactive Drugs, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, etc. She is also an academic editor for several journals, including PLOS One, Asian Journal of Business and Accounting, and SAGE Open. She teaches Business Statistics and Quantitative Analysis for Business at the undergraduate level; Research Methodology, Statistical Analysis, and Operational Research at the postgraduate level.
show more »Dr. Siti Nurkamilla Ramdzan is a Senior Lecturer and a Family Medicine Specialist at the Department of Primary Care Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. She has a deep commitment to her patients in primary care. Her research interest is in respiratory health, women's and children's health, and implementation research with a particular focus on children with asthma. Obtained her MBBS at Universiti Malaya before pursuing clinical advanced studies in Family Medicine at the same university. Later, she attained PhD in Global Health from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr Ramdzan is a passionate teacher, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate trainees both in clinical and research. She is an active member of the academic community locally and internationally. Currently, she is the chair of the Malaysian Primary Care Research Group and the scientific chair for the Academy Family Physicians of Malaysia Annual Scientific Conference 2024. She has published in reputable journals, sharing insights from her research and clinical experiences. She is currently working to implement a national school-based asthma guideline in Malaysia. Dr Ramdzan envisions continued contributions to the field of primary care. Her mission is to create a lasting impact on both academic discourse and the well-being of local and global communities.
show more »Dr. Siti Patonah binti Mohamad is a senior lecturer at the Applied Science with Islamic Studies Programme, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. She holds a PhD (Humanities (Religion)) from Universiti Malaya and has a Master of Islamic Studies (MIs) from the same institution. She also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with Islamic Studies (Biohealth) with Honors from Universiti Malaya. Dr. Siti Patonah's research interests primarily focus on neurodivergent individuals, specifically persons with autism (PWA), and the mental health of PWA's caretakers. Her research integrates Islamic principles and practices to better understand and support this marginalized group. For example, she studies the Quranic reading style of PWA and works on developing a biopsychosocialspiritual model of coping for Muslim parents of PWA to help them handle their stress. She is also interested in multidisciplinary research, particularly in areas such as Islam and Science, as well as Islamic psychology. Dr. Siti Patonah has contributed to the field by publishing several articles related to her studies and has received awards in seminars and conferences she has attended. In addition to her research activities, she is actively involved in teaching both foundation and degree-level students, sharing her expertise and knowledge in her areas of study. Dr. Siti Patonah's work demonstrates a commitment to bridging the gap between Islamic principles and scientific research to improve the lives of individuals with autism and their families.
