Dr Nur Mardhiyah Aziz is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. She graduated with BSc (Housing, Building and Planning) (Quantity Surveying) (Hons.) in 2003, and received MSc Facilities Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2008. She graduated with a PhD from the University of Malaya in 2013 in the area of IT Management in Construction Industry. She is also a Provisional Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and a graduate member of Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia. Since her appointment at the University of Malaya, she had been teaching various subjects such as IT in construction, Integrated Project, Research Methodology and Introduction to Construction Industry. She had published books and also journal articles in various local and international journals. Her research interests were mainly IT in construction, knowledge management and project management.
show more »Dr. Tang Tuck Cheong joined the Department of Economics and Applied Statistics at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya, on February 17, 2014. Previously, he served at Monash University Malaysia, starting as a tutor in the School of Business in July 2001 and ultimately holding the position of senior lecturer until February 14, 2014. Over the years, Dr. Tang has taught a range of undergraduate courses in economics. In 2012, he completed his PhD in Economics at Monash University, Australia, under the supervision of Dietrich Karl Fausten, and was awarded the prestigious Mollie Holman Doctoral Medal. His research expertise lies in open economy macroeconomics, including international trade topics such as import demand functions and balance of payments sustainability. He has published extensively in refereed journals and presented his research at numerous international conferences. Dr. Tang actively contributes to the academic community through his roles on the editorial advisory boards of the Labuan Bulletin of International Business and Finance and the International Journal of Management Studies, as well as serving as an associate editor for the Journal of Economic Development. Additionally, he is regularly invited to review articles for internationally recognized journals. Outside academia, Dr. Tang is a dedicated martial artist, practicing Wing Chun. He is also a former collector of collectible toys, including Transformers, action figures, and designer toys.
show more »Dr Koh Peng Soon graduated in 2002 with MBBS from the International Medical University. He first gained experience in Surgery working as a medical officer in the Department of Surgery, Hospital Taiping right after internship where he obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd), UK in 2005. He joined University of Malaya in 2006 for postgraduate training and graduated with Masters of Surgery (MSurg) in 2010. He worked as a General Surgeon in Hospital Sungai Buloh after graduation before rejoining University of Malaya as a Senior Lecturer and Clinical Specialist in 2011 for sub-specialty training and his interest in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery. In October 2013 to September 2014, he spent a year as a Fellow and Honorary Clinical Associate at the Division of Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery and Liver Transplantation, Queen Mary Hospital, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong which is world renowned. His interest in HPB field involves HPB malignancies, minimal invasive surgery (MIS) and liver transplantation. Besides clinical duties, he is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as well as research and already has several publications to his name. He received his promotion to Associate Professorship in early 2019 and is currently the Head of Division of General Surgery and HPB Unit & Liver Transplantation and work as a Consultant Surgeon in the Department of Surgery, University of Malaya Medical Centre.
