Biography | |
Rohaida Mohd. Saat is a professor at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, and she is currently the dean at the faculty. Prior joining University of Malaya, she has served as an Assistant Director at Curriculum Development Centre, Ministry of Education, Malaysia between 1988 to 1997. She received her Bachelor Degree and Master degree from Indiana University, USA and PhD degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Her area of specialization and research is in science education, teacher education, curriculum development, and qualitative research methodology. She has headed several researches, particularly in the area of science education funded by various agencies. She has authored and co-authored several books, articles and research reports in the area of science education and education in general. She has also served as an Advisory Committee Member for the Stepping into Science International Quarterly, Editorial Board Member of Eurasia Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education, European Journal of STEM Education and Journal of Science and Mathematics in Southeast Asia. She is a trained auditor and she also serves as ASEAN University Network (AUN) academic programme assessor. |
