MR. GABRIEL SAMSON A/L THAMIL SALVAN

My name is Gabriel Samson, and I have been teaching English for over a decade, beginning in 2013 as an Instructor in ELS Malaysia. I then joined the Teach for Malaysia initiative as a High-Impact Teaching Fellow posted in a high-needs secondary school in Klang for two years. After that, I was confirmed in the goverment service as a secondary school teacher and was redeployed to SMK Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam for lack of quality English teachers in that region.     I also am the registered Treasurer and Programme Lead for a student education enterprise (formerly as a project society) named Project Impianku Destinasiku (Project ID) that has impacted thousands of students in the span of 9 years since its inception. The goal of this enterprise to to formulate and execute high-impact activities to guide students in finding their true passion and ambition in life at a post-secondary level.   In May of 2017, I became a part-time lecturer for the Foundation in English programme in the CDFS faculty in UNISEL, and I have since realized since that my true passion and skills-set lies within the domain of lecturing or tutoring English academic subjects to young adults.   I was accepted in University Malaya as an English language lecturer in 2018, where I have been teaching since. I am also a lifetime Level 3 Officer of Kesatuan Olahraga Malaysia (KOM) and champion of several sporting competitions, including the Skrine Regatta Dragon Boat Race in 2019.
