TANG Tuck Mun, Lincoln, CL is a Language Lecturer at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics (FLL), Universiti Malaya (UM). He was the UM Convenor for Professional Credentialing Programme in Professional Translation of the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. He is also a UM Internal Auditor and reports to Quality Management and Enhancement Centre, UM. He was the Information and Communications Coordinator, FLL, UM and represented FLL at Corporate Communications Office, UM. As an applied linguist, Lincoln has a special interest in English language education, language acquisition, and is currently working on crisis translation. He is also a trained translator and completed his training under the Malaysian Institute of Translation & Books and Malaysian Translators Association. He has served as a reviewer for Journal of Modern Languages. He is a full Member (MCIL) and Chartered Linguist (CL) of Chartered Institute of Linguists. He is also a Founding Member of Chartered College of Teaching since its inception in 2017. He is also active in capacity-building initiatives of the Scout Movement in Malaysia (particularly through The King's Scout Brotherhood of Malaysia), in the Asia-Pacific Region, and at the world level through World Scouting. Lincoln is a Paul Harris Fellow of The Rotary Foundation. TANG Tuck Mun, Lincoln, CL ialah Pensyarah Bahasa di Fakulti Bahasa dan Linguistik (FBL), Universiti Malaya (UM). Beliau sebelum ini berkhidmat sebagai Penyelaras UM bagi Program Pentauliahan Profesional dalam Penterjemahan Profesional Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia. Beliau juga bertugas sebagai Juruaudit Dalaman UM yang melaporkan kepada Pusat Pengurusan Kualiti dan Penambahbaikan, UM. Sebelum ini, beliau pernah dilantik sebagai Penyelaras Informasi dan Komunikasi di FBL, UM, dan mewakili FBL di Pejabat Komunikasi Korporat, UM. Sebagai seorang ahli linguistik gunaan, Lincoln mempunyai minat khusus dalam pendidikan bahasa Inggeris, pemerolehan bahasa, dan kini sedang menjalankan kajian mengenai penterjemahan krisis. Beliau juga merupakan seorang penterjemah terlatih Institut Terjemahan & Buku Malaysia dan Persatuan Penterjemah Malaysia. Beliau pernah berkhidmat sebagai penilai untuk Journal of Modern Languages. Lincoln merupakan Ahli Penuh (MCIL) dan Ahli Linguistik Bertauliah (Chartered Linguist) Chartered Institute of Linguists. Beliau juga merupakan Ahli Pengasas Chartered College of Teaching sejak penubuhannya pada tahun 2017. Bukan itu sahaja, beliau juga aktif dalam inisiatif pembangunan kapasiti Pergerakan Pengakap di Malaysia (khususnya melalui Persaudaraan Pengakap Raja Malaysia), di peringkat Asia-Pasifik, serta di peringkat dunia melalui Pengakap Sedunia (World Scouting). She obtained her PhD in Computer Science at the Lancaster University, United Kingdom in 2011. Her previous studies include MSc in Multimedia Interactive System from Liverpool John Moores University, UK and BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from University of Malaya. Her research interests include on following aspects such as affective computing, serious game, gamification, 3D information visualization and virtual reality.
show more »Dr Kathreena Kadir BDS(Mal), MClinDent(OMFS)(Mal), Fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery (Shanghai), AM Dr Kathreena Kadir obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 2005. She then served the Ministry of Health for four years before returning to the same university to pursue her Master’s in Clinical Dentistry specializing in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Upon graduation in 2013, she joined the academia and currently an Associate Professor and consultant in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Clinical Sciences. She is a member of Malaysia Academy of Medicine and has held the post of Honorary Secretary for the Malaysian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (MAOMS) in the year 2015 till 2018 and a member of the Oral Cancer Research & Coordinating Centre (OCRCC) since 2015. Her main surgical interest has always been managing patients with head and neck tumours and had recently completed her one-year Fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery at Shanghai 9th People’s Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Upon returning, she is among the lead surgeon in managing oral cancer clinic and service in University Malaya Medical Centre. Dr Kadir had also supervised numerous postgraduate research thesis in the field of both oral cancer and Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD). While pursuing her interest in head and neck oncology, Dr Kadir has also developed another passion in management of patients with TMD. Over the last 5 years, her team had successfully developed and validated the Malay - Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (M-DC/TMD) according to the stringent standard set by the International Network for Orofacial pain & Related disorders Methodology (INfORM). With the establishment of these two instruments (DC/TMD and M-DC/TMD), she hopes to propose the usage of these tools nationwide as a standard protocol in diagnosing and managing patients with TMD. She also contributes in coordinating and pioneering the development of the TMD Multidisciplinary Team combined clinic in Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya.
