DR. SHARIFAH BASIRAH BINTI SYED MUHSIN

Sharifah Basirah Syed Mushin, who graduated from the University of Malaya (Bachelor's, Master's degree and Phd (2017) is currently the Senior Lecturer at the Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Malaysia working in the Department of Aqidah and Islamic Thought. Dr. Sharifah Basirah broad academic and research interests involve Sufism, Islamic Psychospiritual, Islamic Psychotherapy, and Islamic Ethics. She has produced in publications including books, articles in books, articles in journals, short articles in mass media, and, conference proceedings that were presented nationally and internationally. To impart the outputs of Islamic Psychospiritual and Psychotherapy to the relevant communities, Dr. Sharifah Basirah has been invited to facilitate the training of the trainers (ToT) workshops and intervention sessions that are usually organized by the government such as JAKIM, Malaysian Ministry of Health, state religious councils and departments, non-governmental organizations, and the public. She has been involved in committees and has been appointed as an expert panel, among others in Management Committee obtained several certificates as a certified practitioner such as Psychological First Aid and Mental Health Coach.

DR. NURULAFIQAH NADZIRAH BINTI MANSOR

Nurulafiqah Nadzirah Mansor received her Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from Vanderbilt University, United States in 2008, double majoring in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. Shortly after came back to Malaysia, she was offered to work with Texas Instruments (M) Sdn Bhd as a Process Engineer from 2008-2014 where she has obtained an extensive experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes. She was then pursued her Master of Engineering (M.Eng) in Power System Engineering at University of Malaya, Malaysia from 2011-2013 and subsequently obtained her PhD degree from University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 2018. She is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Malaya. Dr Afiqah is currently active setting up her path in research particularly in power system development and operation planning, dynamic integration of renewables and low carbon-technologies, mathematical modelling and optimisation of power system, network reconfiguration, etc. At present, she has applied multiple research grants as a principle and co-investigator to expand her research works.  She is the author of multiple journals and conference proceedings published in highly reputable journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Power System and conferences organized by the IEEE Power Energy System (PES). She also actively serves as reviewer for multiple international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid.

PROF. DR. NGEOW WEI CHEONG @ DAVID NGEOW

  Professor Dr. Ngeow Wei Cheong is currently a lecturer at the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Malaya. He was a visiting professor at the University of California, San Francisco in 2015/2016. He graduated from the University of Malaya in 1992 and was a private practitioner for 9 months before he was offered the post of tutorship at his alma matter. Three years later, he took up a house job at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, England, where he obtained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He subsequently returned to Malaysia and was a pioneer lecturer at the then newly established Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He later became a lecturer at the University of Malaya in 2000. He later graduated with a Master in Dental Science studying the effect of a combination of long acting analgesic and local anaesthetic on third molar surgery pain in 2008, and obtained a PhD from the University of Sheffield, specialising on Peripheral Nerve Regeneration by studying the effects of different scar reducing agents on nerve repair. He has published more than 160 scientific papers in local and international journals, and was the Editor of the Malaysian Dental Journal from 2005-2007 and the Editor of the MDA Newsletter for 2015. His research interests are craniofacial anthropometry, variations of the mandibular nerve, and recovery of peripheral nerves after microsurgical repair. He is currently an Honorary Supervisor for the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
