Dr. Mohd Nashrul Mohd Zubir received his B. Eng. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Malaya (UM) in 2006. Upon graduation, he spent a short stint in SONY EMCS Malaysia as Design Engineer. He was then offered a scholarship under SLAB/SLAI fellowship program to pursue his postgraduate study in Monash University Australia where he obtained his MSc in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in 2010. Upon returning to Malaysia he further pursued his Ph.D. in heat transfer discipline at UM under similar scholarship program by which he was awarded the degree in 2015. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with University of Malaya (UM). His research interest spans from active and passive heat transfer enhancement, nanomaterial synthesis for heat transfer and gas separation applications, solar based renewable energy to fouling mitigation and desalination system. Dr. Nashrul currently has more than 100 ISI publications which mostly under Tier 1 and 2 ranking. 

Dr. Archina Buthiyappan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at the Faculty of Science, University of Malaya. Her research expertise spans Green Materials & Technology, Sustainable Waste Management, Advanced Wastewater Treatment, Cleaner Production Technology, and Inherent Safety and Health. She is particularly renowned for her work in green adsorbents, adsorption processes, waste management strategies, and initiatives aimed at achieving zero carbon emissions and carbon neutrality. In addition to her scientific contributions, Dr. Archina integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into her research, emphasizing sustainable industrial practices, corporate environmental responsibility, and policy-driven frameworks for a greener economy. Her work extends beyond academia, collaborating with industries and policymakers to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and practical implementation. Dr. Archina has guided over 10 PhD and Master’s students and has contributed more than 50 publications to high-impact journals and conference proceedings. She is an active member of professional bodies such as Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) and the Institute of Materials, Malaysia (IOM). As a dedicated chemist and sustainability advocate, her research is deeply rooted in advancing environmental sustainability, driving innovation, and developing solutions for a cleaner, more responsible future.

Ir. Ts. Dr. Jafferi Jamaludin received the B.Eng. degree from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Putrajaya, Malaysia, and the M.Eng.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaya Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC). He was a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of System Design Engineering, Keio University, Japan from 2018 to 2019. His research interests include energy efficiency, controller design, embedded systems and power electronics. He is a Professional Technologist registered with Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), a Professional Engineer registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), a Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council, UK and a member of the IEEE and the IET.
