Dr. Muzalwana is a senior lecturer in the Department of Decision Science, Faculty of Business and Economics (FBEcons) (formerly known as the Faculty of Economics and Administration, FEA), where she has been serving since 2011. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Statistics with a specialization in Statistical Quality Control (SQC) from the University of Malaya. She also earned her Master’s in Applied Statistics from FEA and a BA (Hons) in Business Management from Sheffield Hallam University, UK. As an applied statistician, Dr. Muzalwana’s research is inherently interdisciplinary, focusing on Statistical Quality Control, efficiency studies, and survey research. Her work extends SQC applications beyond manufacturing to domains such as environmental studies, efficiency measurement, and social science research. Dr. Muzalwana’s primary research interest lies in developing and applying statistical control schemes to analyze environmental variables in Malaysia. Her work includes the application of control charts to gain valuable insights into COVID-19 case trends in Malaysia and to monitor air quality patterns in compliance with the Malaysian Ambient Air Quality Standards. Other notable contributions include measuring the efficiency of higher education institutions with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), exploring retirement financial planning among civil servants, and examining the relationship between household income and life satisfaction among single mothers in Malaysia. Her recent publications include Pasaran Dadah dari Perspektif Socio-ekonomi Malaysia (The Malaysian Drug Market from Socio-Economic Perspectives) and an edited volume, Post-Pandemic Economic and Social Development: Recovery, Challenges, and Policy in Malaysia. These works contribute significantly to the social sciences and public discourse on critical societal challenges. A passionate educator, Dr. Muzalwana designed the course Statistical Methods for Quality Management for the Master’s in Applied Statistics program at FBEcons and has been teaching it since 2012. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she specializes in graduate-level courses in statistical quality management and marketing research techniques, as well as undergraduate courses in statistics and management decision-making. Dr. Muzalwana has supervised more than 50 Master’s students and 14 Ph.D. candidates over the past decade, playing a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of scholars in her field.

Professor Dr Zamros Yuzadi Mohd Yusof is a Professor of Dental Public Health at the Department of Community Oral Health and Clinical Prevention, Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Queen’s University of Belfast in 1997, a Master’s degree from University College London in 2004, a Diploma in Dental Public Health from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2004, and a PhD (with Distinction) from Universiti Malaya in 2013. He has over 20 years of experience in research and teaching, covering both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Professor Zamros has supervised more than 28 PhD/DrDPH/DrPaeds, 15 MClinDent (4-year clinical masters), 10 MPH(OH) (4-year masters), 7 MDSc by research, and 18 Master's by coursework. He has published 77 papers in ISI/WoS-indexed journals, 3 book chapters, and has been invited to speak at 15 conferences. He has 17 copyrights. His Scopus H index = 14 (Wos H index = 12). His research interests include the social determinants of oral health inequality, assessing the burden of oral diseases and conditions on individuals and societies, and developing and evaluating evidence-based oral health interventions and health policies. His work focuses on determining the effectiveness, equity, and overall impact of these interventions/policies on oral health outcomes at both the individual and population levels, as well as their implications for the organisation and delivery of dental healthcare services.

Dr. Zulhelmi Amir is a researcher and senior lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. He received his B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Yamagata University, Japan (2011), his M.Eng.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Malaya (2016), and his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (2020). His research focuses on oilfield water control, enhanced oil recovery, geological carbon storage, completion and drilling fluids, and flow assurance. He is particularly interested in developing innovative materials and processes, and promote sustainable practices in oil and gas operations. Dr. Zulhelmi has published extensively in ISI‑indexed journals and has presented at numerous international conferences, including those organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He is currently teaching undergraduate courses in chemical engineering and actively supervises research projects that integrate academic insights with industry needs.
