ASSOCIATE PROF. IR. DR. MOHD RIDHA BIN MUHAMAD @ MOHD ATA'ILLAH

Ridha is the Director at Centre for Research in Industry (CRI) 4.0 and Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. He obtained Doctor of Engineering from Utsunomiya University Japan in 2015, specializing in magnetic abrasive finishing for superfinishing of tube internal surface for clean environment applications. Prior to his doctoral study, he worked in Mazak Corporation as Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, focusing on CNC prototype machine design and evaluation for mass production and customization. He involved in the design and development of several CNC machines including Mazak's Quick Turn Nexus series and had performed more than 100 variations of cutting parameters to confirm the machine`s limits and capabilities. Currently, he is collaborating with the Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University Japan to develop friction stir welding in semiconductor and aerospace applications. The project explores the possibilities of joining similar and dissimilar materials such as polycarbonate/aluminium, aluminium/stainless steel, magnesium/steel, aluminium/copper for various fundamental and applications. He was awarded the Distinguished International Associate from the Royal Academic of Engineering UK in 2023 for his project on friction stir welding. He actively applies for research grants and up to date, he has secured more than 30 projects from domestic and international funders. He has completed supervision of 7 PhD and 8 Master students, and currently supervising 8 PhD and 3 Master candidates.

DR. MOHD KHAIRULNAZRIN BIN MOHD NASIR

Dr. Mohd Khairulnazrin bin Mohd Nasir, ana jati kelahiran Kelantan. Memperoleh Ijazah Kedoktoran (Ph.D) Usuluddin di Universiti Malaya dalam bidang hadith pada tahun 2020 dengan anugerah tesis cemerlang (with distinction). Tesisnya bertajuk “Hadith tentang roh dalam al-Kutub al-Tis’ah: Kajian terhadap keperluan pembangunan garis panduan representasi unsur roh dalam filem seram di Malaysia.” Memperoleh Ijazah Sarjana Usuluddin di Universiti Malaya (UM) pada 2017 dalam bidang al-Hadith dengan tesis bertajuk “Kepercayaan animisme menurut perspektif Sunnah: Kajian terhadap imam dan remaja di Pitas, Sabah.” Beliau juga memegang dua Ijazah Sarjana Muda dalam bidang al-Quran dan al-Qiraat dari Maahad Qiraat al-Azhar di Shoubra,  Mesir pada 2008 dan yang kedua Ijazah Sarjana Muda dalam al-Hadith dan Pengajian Islam dari Fakulti al-Hadith, Universiti Islam Madinah, Arab Saudi. Beliau banyak menulis kertas kerja dan dibentangkan di seminar-seminar kebangsaan dan antarabangsa. Penulisan beliau merangkumi bidang pengajian al-Quran, al-Hadith dan akidah. Pernah bertugas di Jabatan Usuluddin, Fakulti Pengajian Islam Kontemporari, Kolej Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Ismail Petra (KIAS), Nilam Puri, Kota Bharu Kelantan (Jun 2017 – Feb 2024). Bertugas sebagai Pensyarah Kanan di Akademi Pengajian Islam Universiti Malaya, Pusat Pendidikan Universiti Malaya, Bachok Kelantan (Mac 2024-kini).

Her clinical focus is complemented by robust public health work, championing essential cancer screening programs and respiratory diseases programs within underserved populations. Beyond the clinic, Dr. Liong is deeply involved in community-based initiatives, notably dedicating time to Kampung Orang Asli (indigenous village) health programs, providing necessary medical access and advocating for health equity. This hands-on experience underpins her broader commitment to social accountability in medicine, driving systemic improvements to healthcare delivery for marginalized communities. Her work exemplifies the vital role of primary care in both individual health and societal well-being.
