IR. DR. WONG JEE KEEN RAYMOND

Wong Jee Keen Raymond received the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (1st Class Honors) and Master of Electrical Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional in 2010 and 2013 respectively. He obtained his PhD from Universiti Malaya in 2016. He worked as a Product Engineer at Motorola Solutions (2010-2011), Senior Lecturer (2016-2018), and Programme Leader (2019-2021) at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. Since 2021, he has been working as a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaya. He is a Professional Engineer (PEng Mal), Chartered Engineer (CEng UK), Senior Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), Member of IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology), Graduate Member of IEM (Institution of Engineers Malaysia), and Professional Technologist of MBOT (Malaysia Board of Technologist). He was the Honorary Secretary for IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS) Malaysia since 2020. His main research interests include insulation condition monitoring, partial discharge phenomenon, machine learning/deep learning applications in fault location and classification.

PROF. DR. SHIREEN ANNE NAH HAN YIEN

Professor Shireen Anne Nah is a senior consultant paediatric surgeon and Head of the Division of Paediatric Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. Shireen draws on a wealth of experience working overseas. Upon completion of paediatric surgery specialist training at the Paediatric Institute, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, she underwent a 2 year clinical research fellowship at the UCL Institute of Child Health & Great Ormond Hospital for Children in London, UK. This was followed by 8 years as a paediatric surgeon in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore, before she returned to Malaysia in 2019. Shireen’s areas of research interest are congenital colorectal conditions in children, health outcomes, and quality of life. She is passionate about quality and standards in postgraduate training, and champions sustainability and diversity in surgery. She is also engaged in multiple international collaborative networks in Singapore, UK, Europe and North America, and hopes to increase loco-regional collaborations in ASEAN nations. Shireen is a proud UM alumna, who completed her undergraduate medical degree and postgraduate surgical training at the Faculty of Medicine.

DR. CHONG YONG YEE

Yong Yee is a passionate social scientist dedicated to exploring the transformative power of sport and its impact on society. She is particularly interested in understanding the experiences of marginalized and underrepresented groups, such as women, refugees, and people with disabilities. Her research seeks to identify and address the challenges that these groups face in participating in sport, as well as to promote equitable and inclusive practices. Yong Yee's current research projects include capacity building for youth-led refugees' sport events, the future of sport and sustainability, and educating Paralympics Sports volunteers using the design thinking approach. These projects reflect her commitment to using research to inform and improve sport policy and practice.
