PROFESSOR DATO' DR. YANG FARIDAH BINTI ABDUL AZIZ

Dr. Yang Faridah Abdul Aziz is an academic professor and a consultant radiologist. She is currently the Dean of the Faculty of medicine, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She received her undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of Malaya. She underwent a clinical attachment in Cardiac Imaging in the United States of America in 2000/2001. She completed the Essential Skills in Medical Education course and was awarded the ESME certificate in Medical Education in 2019. She is an alumnus of the IDC programme organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) focusing on training academics on higher education and change management. She completed a Master of Medical Education programme at University Malaya in 2022, in her bid to acquire new knowledge and be a lifelong learner. Over the years, she has honed her skills in the academic, professional clinical service and managerial endeavours.  As an academic, she is involved in developing, implementing, and ensuring quality improvement of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the University Malaya. As the Deputy Dean of Undergraduate programmes (2015-2021), she helmed and aided the shift to e-learning and the use of digital platforms during the Covid-19 pandemic. She has collaborated with national and regional partners and looks forward to continuing participation in impactful research and best practices in the field of medical education. As a consultant radiologist, she provides clinical services at the University of Malaya teaching hospital, known as the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) as well as the University Malaya Specialist Centre (UMSC). She was instrumental in setting up the cardiac imaging services utilizing CT and MRI at UMMC and UMSC. Cardiac Imaging is her niche area of research and she has formed institutional, national, and international collaborations and research in this area. Yang Faridah had been entrusted with numerous roles and responsibilities especially in education including (and not limited to) duties as programme coordinator, head of department, a council member in a professional body (College of Radiology), SETARA member (under the Malaysian Qualifying Agency), member of the Malaysian Medical Council (2017- 2023), chair of the Medical Education Committee for the Malaysian Medical Council (2020-2023) and deputy dean at the Faculty of Medicine University Malaya (2015 - 2021). She is currently a senate member for Universiti Malaya, a senate representative to the Board of Directors of Universiti Malaya, a member of the Medical Education Committee for the Malaysian Medical Council and a member for the education and training committee of the Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology. She continues to dream passionately, embrace the art of seeking knowledge, remain curious, and create possibilities in her career and her life. PROF. DR. ISHAK BIN HJ SULIAMAN

PROFESSOR DR ISHAK SULIAMAN is currently a Head Department of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith at Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya and a Professor in the field of the Hadith Studies. He is a Chief Editor of Journal al-Bayan of which is indexed by Web of Science, Scopus and published by Brill Publishers. He received his Ph.D degree from The University of Wales, Lampeter UK in 2005 in the field of Hadith Muamalah. His interest also in Digital Hadith and Psycho Spiritual of Sunnah. In 2013, he awarded as a Visiting Researcher at Islamic University of Medinah, Saudi Arabia. He served as Director for the Department of Malaysian Studies, Cairo University, Egypt from the 1st January 2016 until the end of December 2018. Prior to that, he was a Deputy Director for Postgraduate Studies at Academy of Islamic Studies, UM from 2009 to 2011. He was also served as Acting Deputy Director for R&D at Academy of Islamic Studies, UM from September 2011 to January 2013. He was also served the country as a Deputy Chairman of Lajnah Tahqiq Hadith KDN (Hadith Review and Assessment Committee under the purview of the Home Ministry of Malaysia from 2019 to December 2022. He also serves as external accessor for Bachelor Degree of Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). For Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), he had served as Secretary General of Muslim Scholars Association of Malaysia in 2000. Besides, he served as a President of Muafakat for MRSM Ulul Albab, Negeri Sembilan in 2010 and as a Deputy President of Alumni Association of Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. In terms of academic experiences, he received UMRG (University Malaya Research Grant) as a Project Leader for research project entitles ‘Preserving The Authenticity of The Digital Hadith’ in 2014 and completed in 2017. One of the outcomes for this project is android application namely ‘Digitalhadith’. This project awarded 1 Gold and 1 Silver in 2018 and 2019 at International Competition of Ideas, Inventions and Innovations (i-Fame) organised by UiTM. He has an ongoing collaboration research projects of Fundamental Research Grant (FRGS) in the field of Waqf of Infrastructure and in the field of Astrometry of Prayer Times. In 2022, he received Industrial Funding from Rimbunan Islamic Media Sdn.Bhd with the amount RM150,000 as a Project Leader for research project entitles 'Research on Translation of Sahih Muslim'.

PROF. DR. NOR ADINAR BINTI BAHARUDDIN

Dr Nor Adinar BAHARUDDIN received her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in 2010 from the University of Otago, New Zealand. Her thesis is on bone healing in animal model. Dr Baharuddin returned home and continues research in her field of interest; on periodontal screening tools, biomarkers for periodontitis, regeneration, animal model and obesity related to periodontal disease. She has published articles in various international journals.  At present, she is a Professor (Periodontology) at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya Kuala Lumpur. She has 28 years of experience in teaching, research and management roles. Among all, she has served as the Deputy Dean of Research from February 2022 until December 2024; and the Head of Department in 2006 and from 2011-2014. She played a pivotal role in positioning the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya, among the Top 100 in the QS World University Ranking by Subject 2025, establishing it as Malaysia’s sole ranked programme in the field. She has been involved in curriculum development for both undergraduate and postgraduate programme. She contributes as a panel for the Accreditation Assessment for the Postgraduate Dental Education and a committee member for the DentSEdC under the Dental Specialist Assessment Programme Committee for Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA). She also serves as a committee for the Professional Qualifying Examination for the Malaysian Dental Council.
