DR. HEMA A/P SUBRAMANIAM

Hema Subramaniam is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Software Engineering at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaya. She holds a PhD in Software Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), awarded in 2016, after completing her Master of Computer Science (Software Engineering) in 2010 and her BSc in Information Technology in 2006, both from Universiti Selangor.  Her niche research area centers on software systems evaluation and analysis, with a strong emphasis on software quality metrics, energy-aware methodologies, and human-centered evaluation frameworks. She focuses on developing innovative approaches to assess and optimize software maintainability, performance, and scalability, while integrating sustainability and usability into modern software engineering practices. Dr. Hema’s work spans static and dynamic analysis, complexity-based energy estimation for AI-driven systems, and cognitive load-based usability evaluation, particularly in real-time and accessibility-focused domains such as Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs). Through her publications and funded projects, she has contributed to advancing green software engineering, adaptive architectures, and intelligent evaluation models, translating theoretical frameworks into practical solutions that enhance reliability and inclusivity in software systems.

DR. MOHD NUR ASHRAF BIN MOHD YUSOFF

Dr. Mohd Nur Ashraf bin Mohd Yusoff is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Malaya. He holds Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (2014), Master of Engineering Science (M.Eng.Sc) (2018), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Energy (2024), all from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. Dr. Ashraf specializes in fuel engineering and tribology, with a primary research focus on sustainable fuel technologies for internal combustion engines. His work explores alternative fuels, biofuel applications, and tribological performance enhancements, contributing to the advancement of clean energy solutions. During his studies, he has actively worked with industry leaders, including the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) and DUCOM India, engaging in research on biofuels, fuel tribology, and lubricant performance optimization. His research findings have been published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence and scientific contributions in the field of sustainable energy and transportation. Dr. Ashraf remains dedicated to interdisciplinary research, industry engagement, and the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, aligning his work with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency in combustion technologies.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. CHUI PING LEI

Dr. Chui Ping Lei is a registered nurse, completed her Master of Medical Science (Nursing) in 2008, and joined the Department of Nursing Science in 2010. In 2015, she obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Malaya. Apart from teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, she has been involved in curriculum development/review, coordinating the Master of Nursing Science Program, and serving as an external examiner for program improvement. She is active in research work. Her research interests are cancer care (quality of life, symptom burden/management, CAM, patient education), complementary integrative therapy (oral cryotherapy, mindful breathing, mind-body practices, kangaroo mother care), and issues related to nurses/ nursing education/ nursing management (health behavior, professional quality of life, workplace violence, information literacy, teaching-learning), stoma care, wound care, and adult/ neonatal nursing care. She has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Chui has been awarded the Universiti Malaya Excellence Award for Ph.D. Graduated in 2015,  Certificate of Excellence Service 2022, Excellence Service Award 2019 & 2023, and Asian University Alliance Scholar in 2020.
