DR. WAN AFIQAH ANIS BINTI WAN AHMAD

Dr Wan Afiqah Anis Binti Wan Ahmad   A native of Kelantan, Wan Afiqah Anis binti Wan Ahmad is a doctoral candidate in English Language, specialising in listening skills from an Islamic perspective and is currently awaiting her viva voce examination. She earned her Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and her Bachelor of Education in English as a Second Language from Universiti Selangor. Her scholarly pursuits centre on the intersection of English language acquisition and Islamic studies, with a particular emphasis on the development of listening skills. This focus is reflected in her extensive portfolio of online publications and newspaper articles. She has disseminated her research findings through presentations at both national and international conferences, culminating in several published research papers. She made her first television debut on Selamat Pagi Malaysia (SPM), discussing English language and its challenges to students of Islamic studies. Currently, she serves as a language lecturer at Universiti Malaya Education Centre (UMEC), Bachok, Kelantan.

DR. MOHAMMED ADAM MOHAMMED TAHA

Mohammed Taha is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Arabic Language and Middle Eastern Languages. He holds a PhD in Linguistics (theoretical) from the National University of Malaysia (2016), an MSC in Linguistics from the University of Malaya (2012) and a Bachelor of TESL from Omdurman Islamic University (2007). His main expertise lies in linguistic structures (Syntax), how words are put together to create structures (Morphology). Syntax has connections with other fields of language, including meaning, sound structure, word structure, and language use. His research interests include Syntactic Theory, Interfaces in Syntax (with Morphology and Semantics), Ecolinguistics (the interdisciplinary field that looks into the relationship between language, culture, and the environment), Sociosyntax (the variation of syntactic structures due to social factors),  and Forensic Linguistics (the application of linguistic knowledge, methods, and insights to the forensic context of law, language, crime investigation, trial, and judicial procedure).

Dr. T.G Nadeeka Shayamalie Gunarathne is a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Nursing Science at the Faculty of Medicine, UM. Her areas of expertise include Renal Nursing, Biopsychosocial influences, Telenursing, mhealth and Sustainable health care. She has vast experience in supervising students in clinical areas and nursing research. Her ongoing research projects include Emotional Distress Among Postnatal Mothers, Occupation Related Health Hazards among Intensive Care Nurses, Telenursing for prevent PTSD following COVID-19, Continuing professional development in Nursing.
