Dr. Siti Soraya Abdul Rahman is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. She was appointed as a program leader for ALEPS (Adaptive Learning Environment for Problem Solving) in Pyhsics under the Innovative Technology Research Cluster. Previously, she was the Head of Augmented Human Learning Program, under the Humanities Research Cluster, University of Malaya. Currently, she is the Principal Investigator for a UM Living Labs @ UMSDC entitled "Smart Waste Management System: An IoT-Based Approach For Automated Waste Classification And Bin Monitoring". She also secured an International Research Grant entitled "Personalised Learning Technologies based on Learning Style using Fuzzy Logic" in programming with University of Bengkulu, Indonesia. She is also a University of Malaya Library Committee representing the faculty. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Glamorgan, UK in 1998 and received a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Malaya in 2003. She was conferred with a PhD in Cognitive Science from the University of Sussex, UK in 2012. Her current research interests and expertise are in the area of Machine Learning (for structured data) and Deep Learning; Advanced Graph Neural Networks; Social Network Analysis; Generative AI and Explainable AI; Responsible AI; Prompt Engineering; Large Language Models; Natural Language Interface to Databases (NLIDBs); Advanced Topic Modeling; Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) in human activity recognition and waste monitoring; Knowledge Representation and Reasoning; Data Science (predictive analytics, data analytics, text analytics, and sentiment analysis); Cognitive Science (cognition and programming; physics problem solving); Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED); E-learning and Expert System.
show more »Ismail Ahmedy is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer System and Technology (CST), Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya. He is currently the Head of the Center for Mobile Cloud Computing Research (C4MCCR). Previously, he was the Head of Department for Department of Computer System and Technology, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaya and Head for Research Grant Management Division, Department of Research Management, Universiti Malaya. He received his BSc (Computer) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2006. After completing his study, he has been granted a full scholarship to pursue his studies in Master and PhD where he received his MSc (Computer Science) from University of Queensland, Australia in 2009 and PhD (Computer Science) in 2015. He obtained his PhD (Computer Science) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia specialized in communication protocol for wireless sensor networks. His research interests are WSN, Internet of Things, Energy Managament and Optimization Algorithm. Ismail has been awarded several research grants as a principal investigator for MRUN-LRGS, FRGS, IIRG and other research grants approx. RM600K. He has been actively publishing SCI/SCIE (WOS) journals. To date, he has successfully supervised 9 PhD and 3 Masters (by research) students.

Within the field of law, this passion for teaching and research plays a pivotal role in advancing legal understanding, fostering critical thinking, and shaping the future of the legal profession. She earned PhD in Commercial Law from The University of Sydney Business School. Her Bachelor of Law and Master in Comparative is from International Islamic University of Malaysia, which give her both understanding Islamic and Conventional perspective. She was called to the bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of High Court of Malaya which broaden her practical experience. Her first book ‘Good Faith in Contractual Performance in Australia’ is published by Palgrave Macmillan, an international reputed publisher. Recently, she was invited by The Right Hon. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Azahar Mohamed (Chief Justice of Malaya) to present a talk entitled ‘Good Faith in Contractual Performance’ in front of panel of judges at Palace of Justice, Putrajaya.
