DR. MOHD FAZLI BIN ABDUL AZIZ

Dr. Mohd Fazli Abdul Aziz is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Public Administration and Development Studies, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and a Master of Public Administration from Universiti Malaya, along with a Bachelor's and Diploma in Public Administration from Universiti Teknologi MARA. Dr. Fazli brings extensive experience from both academia and public service. Prior to his academic appointment, he served in various capacities within the Malaysian government. At the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, he was attached to the Department of Climate Change, contributing to national initiatives on climate policy and sustainability strategies. He also held roles as Assistant Director at the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp Malaysia) under the Ministry of Local Government Development, and at the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU), Prime Minister's Department, where he was involved in project coordination, policy implementation, and strategic monitoring. His areas of expertise include Public Policy, Fiscal Administration, Public Sector Finance, Environmental Policy, and Qualitative Research Methods. He is actively engaged in teaching, research, and community-based initiatives that support evidence-based policy making and sustainable governance.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. RAJA JAMILAH BINTI RAJA YUSOF

      Dr. Raja Jamilah Raja Yusof holds a bachelor degree in Information System Engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London. She pursued her studies in Master and PhD in Computer Science from the Universiti Malaya. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering in Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, a member of Centre of Quranic Research, University of Malaya and also a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE Senior Member), a member of Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) myHCI-UX. Her area of expertise includes User Experience (UX), Usability of interfaces, Agile Software Development, Computational Algorithms, Computational and Algorithmic Thinking and Problem based approach in teaching Software Engineering Related Subjects including Programming. Her main research interests is in Human Computer Interaction and Computational Algorithms in relation to Software Engineering while Quranic and Islamic information are valued aspects of her research. Currently she holds an industrial grant for AI Datahub for Quranic Application from SmartCore Digital Sdn Bhd. Her current research also revolves around Machine Learning On Automation of Machine Learning projects based on Software Engineering practices, Software Engineering solutions in relation to AI Datahub for Quranic Application, Human-Robot Interaction and Digital Automated Disaster Management System.

PROF. DR. EDMUND TERENCE A/L ERIC BONIFACE GOMEZ

Edmund Terence Gomez Gomez is Professor of Political Economy at the Faculty of Economics & Administration, Universiti Malaya. He specializes in state-market relations and the linkages between politics, public policies, and enterprise development -- a subject on which he has published extensively, writing not only for academia but also more widely.  He has held appointments as Visiting Professor at: the School of International Relations & Pacific Studies at the University of California-San Diego, USA (2014-2015); the Department of Political Science at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, USA (2013-2014); and at Kobe University, Japan (May-August 2002). Other academic appointments include Visiting Fellowships at: the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies, Denmark (October-November 2004); the Australian National University, Canberra (February 2002); and at the Asian Studies Department, Murdoch University, Australia (January-December 1993). He was also Senior Research Fellow at the Department of East Asian Studies, Leeds University, United Kingdom from 1996-1999. From 2005-2008, Terence served as Project Manager and Research Coordinator of the programme area ‘Identities, Conflict and Cohesion’ at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) in Geneva, Switzerland. He has undertaken various research projects and convened numerous international conferences–among others, on political-business linkages in East Asia; the growth of national and transnational ethnic Chinese enterprise; the history of Chinese communities and their enterprises in Australia, Britain and Southeast Asia; ethnic conflict and social cohesion in Asia; equity distribution and government intervention in Malaysia –all of which have received funding from various local and global agencies, including the Sasakawa, Sumitomo and Toyota Foundations of Japan, the Department of Education and Training in Australia, the Christensen Fund (USA), the British Academy, and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) of the United Kingdom. He serves on the editorial board and advisory committee of the following international journals: East Asia: An Internationaal Quarterly, Journal of Current Southeast Asian Affairs, Sojourn: Journal of Social Issues in Southeast Asia and Asian Journal of Comparative Politics. He is also editor of the 'Chinese Worlds' Series and the 'Malaysian Studies' Series for Routledge, London & New York.
