Raihana Abdul Wahab's main research interest is on the Islamic Astronomy, particularly in Observational Astronomy.. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Shariah major in Islamic Astronomy from the University of Malaya and holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Astronomy from University Malaya in 2014.  Since 2015, she appointed as a Senior Lecturer for Islamic Astronomy Programme under the Department of Fiqh and Usul, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. She has a particular interest in the Quranic and Hadith Research related to Astronomy. She has been invited to deliver talks about several topics in Islamic Astronomy Research in Malaysia. Her completed research project is a Sky Brightness Research for Determination of Early Fajr Prayer Times funded by University of Malaya. Furthermore, she was the Principle Investigator of the fatwa research grant that was awarded by JAKIM for the Reevaluation of the Sun’s Altitude for Determination Beginning of Fajr Prayer Times in Malaysia. The findings of this research was presented to Fatwa Research and Management Committee, JAKIM and National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs of Malaysia (MKI). At the end of November 2019, several states announce earlier compared to other states on changes of beginning for Fajr prayer time to average 8 minutes later than the existing prayer time calendar. On April 21, 2020, the State of Kelantan announced the changes of the early Fajr prayer time. Therefore, all states in Malaysia have adopted the parameters of this research. She has also awarded a community research grant entitled Bringing Astronomy Community to Educate People under the University of Malaya Community Engagement Center (UMCares) research fund from 2018-2020. Her current research is Application of The Digital Imaging Techniques in the Observation of the Young Crescent Moon from the Perspective of Shariah and Astronomy.  She has written more than 10 articles in international and local journals. Due to her extensive experience in the research work that has been carried out, she has been appointed by the Perak State Mufti Department as one of the members of the Falak committee for the State of Perak from 2018 until present. She also has been appointed as Islamic Astronomy Expert Panel for Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) from 2024-2025.

Dr Hany Mohamed Aly Ahmed was born in Göttingen, Germany in 1980. He is an Egyptian and was graduated from Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University (ASU), Egypt, with a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Sciences (B.D.S.) in 2002. He started his clinical postgraduate program in Endodontics with a Higher Dental Diploma (H.D.D.) degree in 2006, and he is registered as a Dental Specialist in the field of Endodontics by the Egyptian Dental Syndicate in 2012. Dr. Ahmed continued his postgraduate studies, and joined a Master Degree program (M.Sc.D.) at the School of Dental Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2009 which was converted to Ph.D. in 2011. In July 2023, he has been promoted to Consultant of Endodontics by the Egyptian Dental Syndicate. Dr. Ahmed has been granted a number of awards for his research on the application of Portland cements in Endodontics including the IADR (SE Asian division) for the best laboratory research in 2014. He has also been granted several awards, in Malaysia and Singapore, as a supervisor for several elective research projects. Dr. Ahmed has published more than 120 articles in recognized international journals such as Journal of Endodontics and International Endodontic Journal. In 2012, Dr. Ahmed has introduced a new classification for endoperio lesions, which was published in ENDO, and with experts from Brazil and UK, he has also introduced a new system for classifying the root and root canal morphology in 2016, in addition to accessory canals and dental anomalies in 2018. With an expert from Australia, he has also introduced the PROUD guidelines (Preferred reporting items for root canal morphology in the human dentition), published in the European Endodontic Journal. Dr Ahmed has delievered a number of scientific and clinical lectures and workshops in several countries such as Australia, Austria, Italy, Vietnam, Thailand and Egypt. He was also invited as a Keynote Speaker by the European Society of Endodontology which was held in Vienna, 2019, Budapest 2022 and Helsinki 2023, and he also lead a number of workshops related to root and canal morphology. Currently, he is an associate professor of Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya, and he leads a number of grants in Malaysia related to root canal morphology and endodontic bio-materials. He has received two awards from the UM - Excellent service certificate (2019) and Excellent service award (2022). In 2021, he has obtained the membership diploma from the Faculty of Dental Trainers, Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), and he became a fellow of the International College of Dentists, USA. Dr Ahmed has also been listed in the top 2% Scientists worldwide, Stanford university report, 2022, 2023, USA. He is a scientific reviewer and editorial board member in national and international journals. He is an editorial board member of the International Endodontic Journal (The official publication of the British Endodontic Society). He also is the Deputy Editor-In- Chief of the European Endodontic Journal. He is one of the editors for the book entitled "Endodontic Advances and Evidence Based clinical guidelines" published by Wiley in 2022. 

Dr. Mazlina Mazlan is a Professor and Head of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at Universiti Malaya. She has significantly advanced the field, particularly in brain injury and neurorehabilitation. Her expertise spans traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques. Prof. Mazlina's TBI research has been widely published in medical journals, and she serves as Associate Editor for Neurology Asia (WoS) and Journal of Health and Translational Medicine (Scopus). She has co-authored numerous chapters and books, including a contribution to the globally recognized textbook Braddom's Rehabilitation Care. Her influence extends to keynote addresses at international conferences including the World Congress of the International Society of Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine and invited clinical workshops in Southeast Asia. Additionally, she founded and leads the Malaysian Association of Rehabilitation Physicians' Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Special Interest Groups, focusing on clinical training, education, and public awareness. Prof. Mazlina has supervised over 50 postgraduates, including the first PhD graduate from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Universiti Malaya. Her leadership extends to chairing the National Conjoint Board for Rehabilitation Medicine Specialty and serving as a Medical Specialty Program Panel Evaluator for the Malaysian Medical Council. She is also part of the World Health Organisation's expert review group for Rehabilitation Intervention toolkit. Beyond academia, Prof. Mazlina frequently serves as an expert medical witness in medico-legal TBI cases. Clinically, she is a pioneer, being the first Malaysian rehabilitation physician with a Research & Clinical Fellowship in brain injury rehabilitation and the first Malaysian appointed to the Asian Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Society SIG Council. She provides expert clinical consultations and treatments, as a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician at UM Medical Center & UM Specialist Center.
