PROF. DR. YUSNIZA BINTI KAMARULZAMAN

2 / 2 Yusniza Kamarulzaman is a Professor of Marketing and the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, and the Graduate School of Business, Universiti Malaya (UMGSB). Her current pursuits include serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Glasgow in the UK and a Visiting Professor at Universitas Indonesia, highlighting her vast knowledge and global recognition in marketing. With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Professor Yusniza has held several leadership positions at the Universiti Malaya. She served as the Deputy Dean of Postgraduate from 2017 to 2022, the Head of the Marketing Department from 2015 to 2017, and the Director of the UM Centre of Innovation and Commercialisation from 2010 to 2014, among other posts. Having begun her career in 1996, Professor Yusniza has worked at various local and foreign higher education institutions, including serving as a Teaching Associate at Cardiff Business School, UK, from 2003 to 2006. She teaches a wide array of Marketing subjects, such as Marketing Management, Retailing, Branding, Product Development & Innovation, Digital Marketing, Global Marketing, and Marketing Research Methodology, to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Professor Yusniza has supervised and mentored over 50 master's degree graduates and produced a number of Ph.D. graduates. She has made significant contributions to the field of marketing through her numerous publications, books, book chapters, monographs, and course modules. Local higher education institutions have widely adopted her publications, including her books Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, and Marketing for Hospitality and Tourism, which Oxford University Press published. Her primary research interests include digital marketing, tourism marketing, branding, and retailing. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK, and a member of the American Marketing Association, the British Academy of Management (BAM), and the Academy of Marketing (AM). She serves on the scientific committees of various prestigious international conferences and contributes as a reviewer for numerous international and local textbooks, journals, and conference papers. Professor Yusniza's contributions to academia have not gone unnoticed, as she has received numerous awards and accolades locally and internationally. In 2017, she was awarded the Excellence Service Service Medal (Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang) by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Excellence Service Award from the University of Malaya in 2016, 2017, and 2020. Western Michigan University also awarded her the Visiting Scholar Collaborative Contributions Award, U.S., in 2015 and the Education Leadership Award at the 4th Asia's Best B-School Awards in 2013. In addition, Professor Yusniza serves as an appointed panel member for the Ministry of Higher Education for Government Grants (FRGS, PRGS, HiCOE), an internal auditor for Malaysia Research Assessment (MyRA), and a member of Malaysia Top Business School Malaysia (MyTBS). She is also an external programme assessor/advisory board of several private and public institutions, including UKM, UiTM, Multimedia University, University Technology Petronas, Lim Kok Wing University, Taylors University, Sunway University, UOW Malaysia KDU, QUES International University, Segi University, Wawasan University, and others.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. NORHIDAYAH BINTI MOHD TAUFEK

Dr Norhidayah Mohd Taufek is a senior lecturer at the Institute of Biological Sciences (ISB), Faculty ofScience, Universiti Malaya (UM). She obtained her PhD from ISB, UM in 2017 with specialisation inaquaculture nutrition research. She is a researcher with a demonstrated history of working in theaquaculture field on fish nutrition, reproduction endocrinology and aquaculture feed technology.Her current research interests include the development of sustainable solutions for animal feedincluding aquatic animals and poultry. Special focus is given towards utilization of local renewableresources such as insects meal including black soldier fly larvae and crickets as well as mushroom by-products and underutilized crops. She is also actively working with the industries to promote the use of black soldier fly asprotein source to produce cost-effective and Halal feed as well as for the implementation of circularbioeconomic purposes.

ASSOCIATE PROF. TS. DR. WAN ABD AL-QADR IMAD BIN WAN MOHTAR

Dr. Wan Abd Al Qadr Imad Wan-Mohtar is an Associate Professor and fermentation technologist at the University of Malaya's Functional Omics and Bioprocess Development Laboratory, located in the Faculty of Science, Institute of Biological Sciences. Professor Brian McNeil, a fungal fermentation expert, and Professor Linda Harvey, author of Practical Fermentation Technology (John Wiley & Sons), supervised him at Glasgow's Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Wan-Mohtar's research focuses on extended liquid fermentation and mushroom microbiology. He holds a BSc in Microbiology (Local Basidiomycetes), an MSc in Food Biotechnology (Bioprocessing), and a PhD in Fermentation Technology (Ganoderma lucidum). He applies his mushroom liquid growing skills to extract mushroom colours, protein, polysaccharides, and oil for SDG2 Zero Hunger, SDG6 Clean Water and Sanitation, and SDG7 Affordable and Clean Energy. He represented Malaysia among nineteen international scientists on food security post-2050 at the ''Innovative, sustainable, and circular agricultural systems for the future" utilising mushrooms in Morocco in 2019 and Korea in 2023. At the age of 37, he has 102 high-quality research articles and has been appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow at Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest in Ireland through 2024. He has also been appointed to the Young Scientist Network (YSN)- Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) till 2024, the Asian Federation of Biotechnology Malaysia (2023-2024), the Solar Research Institute (SRI) UiTM, and the CESPRO UKM Research Fellow (2021-2023). He recently published a chapter on Cultivation Strategies of Medicinal Mushrooms in Submerged-liquid Fermentation (SLF) (2019) and Ganoderma in Traditional Culture (2024) with Taylor & Francis. He has finished sabbatical break at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in 2024-2025 on hot-climate mushroom discovery (Arabian truffles). His current plan for mycology is to create Mycotechnology Research Centre Malaysia (MRCM) which covers key mycology goals such as Mycoremediation, Mycoprotein, Mycoenergy and MycoConstruction.   Current niche area:  Mycoremediation using Ganoderma                                  Future and Functional foods                                      Fungal Oils
