Born in the vibrant royal town of Klang, Selangor, Professor Mohd Fakhrul Zamani Bin Abdul Kadir (MFZKadir) is an accomplished individual. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computational and Electronics Physics from the esteemed Universiti Malaya in 2006, setting the foundation for his academic journey. Demonstrating his determination and drive, he wasted no time in launching his career as a manufacturing executive at Texas Instruments (M) Sdn. Bhd. Shortly thereafter, in 2007, he eagerly pursued his Ph.D studies. What truly sets Professor Kadir apart is his exceptional achievement of completing his Ph.D. program at the Universiti Malaya in less than three years. This remarkable feat exemplifies his dedication and intellectual prowess, earning him a distinguished award in 2010. His scholarly accomplishments have undeniably positioned him as a trailblazer in his field. From 2010 to 2016, he served as a Senior Lecturer at the Physics Division, Centre for Foundation Studies in Science, Universiti Malaya, and since then, he has been promoted to the position of Associate Professor and subsequently to Professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science. Additionally, he held the position of Deputy Director (Academic and Development) at the Centre from November 2014 to July 2016. His research aligns with SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), as it focuses on developing innovative and sustainable materials for energy storage devices. Biopolymer electrolytes offer a promising alternative to traditional materials, contributing to a more accessible, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced energy landscape. Throughout his tenure at the Universiti Malaya, he has secured funding and grants totaling nearly RM 2 Million, authored 188 journal papers indexed in WoS, boasting a remarkable H index of 53. Moreover, he has successfully supervised the completion of 8 Ph.D. and 6 MSc. candidates. Demonstrating his commitment to academic rigor, he actively serves as a reviewer for prestigious journals, including those published by Springer and Elsevier. Since 2010, he has held the esteemed position of Head of the Advanced Materials Lab in the Centre for Foundation Studies in Science. Notably, his exceptional achievements during his postgraduate studies garnered him several prestigious awards, both domestically and internationally. Among his notable accolades are the Prize Ministry of Education and Science of The Russian Federation and the Silver Medal at the International Trade Fair 2007 (Iena) in Nuremberg, Germany, awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Government. Continuing his pursuit of research excellence, his work gained international recognition once again during his tenure as an academician at the university. His research on "Electrical analysis of amorphous corn starch-based polymer electrolyte membranes doped with LiI" was acknowledged with the exclusive 'Physica Scripta Highlights of 2013' Collection by Institute of Physics (IOP). He has received several gold, silver and bronze medal awards in international and local invention exhibitions, including IENA, ITEX, MTE, DSSS, PECIPTA and PITRAM. Additionally, in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024, he was listed as one of the world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University. To acknowledge his outstanding contributions, Universiti Malaya awarded him the most outstanding young researcher in the science discipline for the year 2022. In 2025, Professor Kadir's contributions to research were recognized by the goverment with the prestigious Malaysia's Research Star Award (MRSA). show more »Dr. Noor Hasliza is an experienced and accomplished nursing professional with over 28 years of service in the healthcare industry. She began her nursing career in 1997 as a Staff Nurse at Pusat Perubatan University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). With a specialization in Post Basic Orthopedic and Traumatology, Dr. Noor Hasliza quickly advanced in her career, taking on leadership roles. In 2002, she became the Unit Manager at the Urology & Plastic Maxillofacial Ward at UKM. Her educational journey includes completing a clinical attachment at the Urology Unit of Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia, in 2006, and earning her Bachelor's in Post Registration Nursing from Monash University. Between 2007 and 2008, she pursued further education at International University College Technology Twintech, and by 2011, she was appointed Programme Coordinator for the Diploma in Nursing at the same institution. Dr. Noor Hasliza later completed her Master in Education with a specialization in Nursing Education from AEU University. In 2014, she became the Programme Coordinator and taught Advanced Diploma in Orthopedic Nursing at the International University Malaya-Wales. Her dedication to professional development extended beyond her academic roles, as she became a committee member of the Infection Control Association, a member of the Malaysian Nurses Association (MNA), and part of the Special Interest Group (SIG) in education. Her passion for learning and expanding her expertise led her to complete clinical training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute under the China Embassy and the Ministry of Health Malaysia in late 2014. She also contributed to the China Aid Alumni Association of Malaysia (CAAM) from 2015, serving as a pro team committee member and writing articles for their magazine. In 2015, Dr. Noor Hasliza completed training as a Clinical Instructor Assistant in healthcare under the Department of Skills Development (SKM), Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. Her commitment to advancing nursing knowledge culminated in a PhD in Social Sciences and Nursing Management from AEU University, which she completed in May 2022. Dr. Noor Hasliza has held prominent academic positions, including serving as a nursing lecturer in the School of Nursing at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at UCSI University (2015-2018) and as a nursing lecturer and Programme Leader for both the Diploma and Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) programs at Sunway University (2019-2024). In 2024, she was appointed as an Auditor for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for nursing program since 2024 till present. Currently, Dr. Noor Hasliza is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing Science at the University of Malaya, where she assists with the APEL C program for post-Diploma students. She also serves as an examiner for the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and participates as an internal examiner for research programs at the Master’s and Bachelor’s levels in Nursing.
show more »Dr. Ainul Asyraf bin Lokman, a native of Alor Star, Kedah, commenced his early education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Puchong Utama 2 (SKPU2) and Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Putra Perdana (SKTPP), before proceeding to his secondary education at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Datuk Syed Ahmad (SMKDSA). His tertiary education began with an offer to undertake foundational studies in Islamic Studies at the University of Malaya, Nilam Puri, Kelantan. He subsequently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Usuluddin, with a minor in Islamic History and Civilization, graduating with distinction. In recognition of his academic performance, he was awarded a SLAI scholarship by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) to pursue doctoral studies directly. He thereby earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Humanities, specializing in Middle East Studies. Dr. Ainul’s extensive academic research interests encompass Islamicjerusalem Studies, the Arab-Israeli Conflict, the Palestinian Issue, Conflict Resolution, Islamic History, and Islamic Civilization. He currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Islamic History, Civilization & Education at the Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
