ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. ASHRIL BIN YUSOF

Associate Professor Dr Ashril Yusof holds a Bachelor of Science and Medical degree from St Andrews University in Scotland, which he completed in 1992. He further pursued his academic journey by obtaining a Masters in Sport and Exercise Science (Health Science) from the University of Essex in England in 1997. In 2006, he successfully completed his PhD in Sports Science, specializing in Biochemistry and Physiology, at the University of Essex. His doctoral research focused on investigating exercise-induced oxidative stress in erythrocytes. Currently, Dr Ashril Yusof serves as a senior member of the academic staff at the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Science at Universiti Malaya. He brings with him extensive experience and knowledge gained during his tenure as a member of the National Sports Medicine Institute in the United Kingdom from 1996 to 2006. Additionally, he actively participates as a member of the Malaysian Association of Sports Medicine (life member) and the Malaysian Strength and Conditioning Association (since 2016). He is also an associate chief editor for Frontiers in Physiology. Dr Ashril’s research interests span a wide range of areas within exercise and sport science, as well as clinical studies. His primary focus lies in exploring metabolic changes and biochemical events occurring during severe endurance exercise. Specifically, he examines the regulation of circulatory oxidative enzymes and the senescence of erythrocytes during prolonged exercise. His research also delves into the potential manipulation of protective effects through the use of natural supplements and blood concentrates. Within his current research endeavours, Dr Ashril Yusof explores various topics, including the association between nutrition, appetite regulation, and neuromuscular fatigue. He also investigates skeletal muscle damage and healing, the impact of natural products on performance, as well as studies related to soccer or football. Moreover, he is actively involved in clinical studies concerning osteoarthritis and laser therapy, as well as obesity and postural abnormalities among school children. Dr Ashril Yusof's extensive academic background and diverse research interests position him as a valuable contributor to the fields of exercise and sport science, as well as clinical studies, furthering our understanding of human performance and health. ASSOCIATE PROF. IR. DR. TEOH WEY YANG

Wey Yang TEOH is Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Malaya (UM). He gained BE and PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. Prior to UM, he received his tenure as Associate Professor at the School of Energy and Environment, City University of Hong Kong, where he led the Clean Energy and Nanotechnology (CLEAN) Laboratory. His research is dedicated to the fundamentals of heterogeneous thermal- and photocatalysis, and particularly in solving various Energy and Environmentally-related problems. Among them, he developed advanced catalysts for solar hydrogen generation, reduction of carbon dioxide, biomass valorization, and the abatement of environmental micropollutants. He currently holds Honorary Associate Professorship at UNSW, Erskine Fellowship at the University of Canterbury and serves on the Innovation Advisory Board of HeiQ AG (a global leader in textile innovation and listed company on London Stock Exchange).

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. NORRODZOH BINTI HJ SIREN

Norrodzoh Binti Hj Siren or the name in her writing, Nor Raudah Hj Siren was born in Sabak Bernam, Selangor. Starting school at  National Primary School, Batu 38, Sabak Bernam Selangor and continued to Secondary School, SAMT Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Batu 38 Sabak Bernam, Selangor. She attended  at the University of Malaya (1988) and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Writing) in 1992 from the Writing Department, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (1989-1992). Then obtain biasiswazah UM to pursue a Master of Arts (Media) in 1998.  As a lecturer in the Department of Da'wah and Human Development, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya since 1999. She was entrusted as Head of Department of Da'wah and Human Development in 2003- 2005, and got a Gift Training Study Leave for a Doctorate in the field of rhetoric writing (2005-2008). Was awarded his doctorate in 2010. She returned to hold the position as head of Department of Da'wah and Human Development (2011-2013). After finished doctorate, she continue the study and got a Bachelor's in Islamic Studies (Da'wah and Leadership) from National University of Malaysia in 2013. As a Lecturer she got three time for Excellent Employee Award and two time for Excellent Employee Certificate. She also wrote books, chapters of book, articles in journals etc. Her main areas of writing and research are media, education and da'wah.  In the social field, she have a lot of energy to contribute to the local community as a YDP PIBG National Primary School of Bukit Kuchai from 2002 to 2009. Involved in Alumni Media Studies, UM as Treasurer and Alumni ALSAMTiS (secondary School Alumni) as Vice President. Also involved in the Cooperative Seri Murni Puchong as a Member of the Board and now involved in Kelab Mantap Daie as a Secretary.
