DR. NARSIMLU KEMSARAM

Dr. Narsimlu Kemsaram is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He holds Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in Computer Science. His research focuses on AI-enabled autonomy for robotic systems, with particular emphasis on multi-robot systems, swarm robotics, and aerial robotics (UAVs). He develops learning- and perception-driven methods that enable robots to operate collaboratively and robustly in complex real-world environments, bridging algorithmic innovation with deployable robotic platforms.During his PhD, he worked as an Assistant Researcher in the Department of Computer Science at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (University of Würzburg), Germany, contributing to the project “An Autonomous Sensor Network for the Detection and Observation of Meteors (ASMET)”, funded by the European Union Regional Development Fund (EU-RDF). Following his PhD, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Mobile Perception Systems (MPS) Lab, Signal Processing Systems Group, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), The Netherlands, where he worked on “integrated Cooperative Automated Vehicles (i-CAVE): Sensing, Mapping, and Localization”, supported by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO). He then joined the Space Robotics (SpaceR) Group at the SnT Research Centre, University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg, as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. There, he contributed to EU-funded projects on multi-robot systems, multi-uavs, and multi-rovoers, including “Secure and Safe Multi-Robot Systems (SESAME)” (EU Horizon 2020) and “5G-Sky Drones” (Luxembourg National Research Fund, FNR CORE). Most recently, he was a Research Fellow in Multi-Robot Systems in the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL), London, United Kingdom, where he worked on “Swarm Spatial Sound Modulators (Swarm SSMs)”, funded through an EPSRC Prosperity Partnership and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). This work strengthened his focus on scalable multi-robot systems and swarm intelligence, including perception, coordination, and distributed decision-making for cooperative robotic systems. Research Interests: Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Aerial Robotics (UAVs), Multi-Robot Systems, Swarm Robotics.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. ROSIE PAMELA SHASHIKALA A/P DAVID

As an academic and researcher, my professional journey is rooted in the fascinating fields of Human Anatomy and Neuroscience, with research interests spanning cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, the gut-brain axis, natural products and drug discovery, developmental toxicity, and medical education. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to secure several research grants, leading to meaningful collaborations, publications, and the supervision of a number of postgraduate students. I’ve also served as an examiner for dissertations and contributed to advancing research both within and beyond my institution.Teaching is a joy and a cornerstone of my career. I teach Human Anatomy (Gross, Embryology, and Histology) to both undergraduate (MBBS, Dentistry, etc.) and postgraduate students. I’ve been involved in curriculum development, Anatomy Practical exam coordination, OSCEs and serve on vetting committees across various UG and PG medical /dental programs—including Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Clinical Dentistry. Whether preparing students for anatomy quizzes or guiding young researchers, I believe learning should spark curiosity—and definitely a bit of laughter along the way. After all, who says the brain can’t enjoy a little tickle while studying itself?I remain engaged with several professional bodies in anatomy (MAA) and neuroscience (MSN, IBRO), and have had the privilege of serving on scientific committees, participating in conferences, and being invited as a speaker / external examiner at various academic institutions. Mentorship is particularly close to my heart—whether it's nurturing critical thinking, building confidence, or simply helping students navigate their academic journey with a steady hand.I welcome opportunities for collaboration, idea exchange, and interdisciplinary research. Whether you're working on a related project or simply passionate about the brain, the body, or how nature might influence both—feel free to connect. There’s always something new to discover, especially when minds meet across disciplines.
