Biography | |
Sarel became interested in the field of e-learning when he volunteered to be one of the participants in 2004 at one of the public universities e-learning in projects. Then with his background in software engineering knowledge (bachelor degree in computer Science, software engineering), he started seriously learn how to design and integrate e-learning with other education concept and also with additional technical functions to enhance student's opportunity in their learning. His first e-learning project called diskusiMAYA (via www.diskusimaya.com) focus more for his part-time students (since 2006) and also designed/developed a new e-learning environment concept for selected teachers in the MAYA project (via maya.ilusikreatif.com and maya.sorient.my). He also will use a variety of instructional design (online learning environment) and also blended learning in order to attract the attention of students to remain in the learning process. He had assisted one of the private university to develop their virtual learning environment platform to focus is on how the virtual environment acts as a collaborative platform to enhance the student’s learning process. According to him, every engagement provided by the community (either lecturer or students) in the online environment is about building up motivation. |
