Rizal is a Senior Lecturer in the Building Surveying Department, Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya. His expertise spans asset maintenance, workplace wellbeing, and facility management, with research focused on asset lifecycle performance, facilities governance, and sustainable workplaces using system-based approaches. He has published peer-reviewed journal articles, technical reports, and book chapters indexed in WoS and Scopus, with an h-index of 7. Rizal has led competitive research grants and contributed to national and international projects in facilities management systems and public–private sector governance. A certified Facility Management Professional (IFMA), he represents Universiti Malaya in CIDB, serves as Deputy Secretary of the Malaysian Association of Facility Management (2025–2026), and contributes to National Mirror Committee and ISO/TC 267 working groups. |
