Biography | |
Nik Elyna Myeda has completed her doctoral degree in Facilities Management from University College London in 2013 under the supervision of Professor Michael Pitt and Dr Peter McLennan. Her doctoral thesis focused on developing the PERFM, a Performance Measurement Framework that can be used to enhance FM service delivery. The research studies was evaluated by an expert professor in FM field, Prof Dilanthi Amaratunga from University of Salford, UK. She has been awarded with UM Excellence Award 2014 for completing her doctoral programme in less than 4 years. Prior to that, Elyna has obtained Msc in Building, a master by research programme at University of Malaya where her thesis focused on the Performance Measurement of Office Buildings Maintenance Management. Elyna's first degree was Bachelor (Hons) in Building Surveying from the very same department where she currently serves. Prior to joining academic, Elyna has served at Petrosains Sdn Bhd and later at Henry Butcher Malaysia as Building Manager and Assistant Property Manager. However, when being offered the SLAB/SLAI Scholarship in 2007, Elyna has left the private industry to pursue her interest in research and academic. Elyna is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Building Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment where she teaches undergraduate (BSc Building Surveying) and postgraduate programme (Master in Asset and Facility Management). Her research interests and areas are performance measurement, facilities management, strategic facilities management, sustainable environment. Elyna also enjoys cooking and exploring child development studies. Elyna welcomes any future research supervision and collaboration pertaining her research areas.
