Professor Dr. Mohd Salleh Aman is a PhD holder in Leisure Studies focus in the area of sport and physical recreation management, graduated from Lincoln University New Zealand. Dr. Mohd Salleh Aman completed a BA (Hons) degree in Geography and a Master of Education degree in Health, Physical Education and Sport, University of Malaya. Professor Dr. Mohd Salleh Aman has had 8 completed PhD and 2 master students under his supervision. He is also currently supervising 8 PhD and 3 masters which are ongoing. The research field under Profesor Dr. Mohd Salleh’s supervison includes leisure, recreation, sport management, sport education, sport tourism, safety in sport, sport history, sport media and coaching management. He is an active researcher, consistently involved in international conference and published writing works in the form of abstracts, proceedings, modules and text books. Profesor Dr. Mohd Salleh who is an expert in sport and recreation management has been recognized by several universities which appointed him as consultant, advisor and external examiner for their sports science program including the Open University Malaysia, Industrial University Selangor, University Malaysia Sabah, Defence University of Malaysia, Education University of Indonesia and as a visiting professor at the Management Science University, State University of Jakarta, State University of Yogyakarta and Universitas Nasional, Jakarta, Indonesia. Profesor Dr. Mohd Salleh Aman has a broad working experiences, administration and professional. He is holding the post as Headmaster of 7th Residential College as well as Associate Professor in Sport Management at Sport Centre, University of Malaya since 2007. He holding the post as Director of Sport Centre, University of Malaya, 2011-2015. He designated as the principal investigator for several research projects with Institute of Youth Research, Ministry of Youth and Sport Malaysia (IYRES), UMRG; Penyelidik Pusat Kecemerlangan Sukan 2020, Unit Sukan, Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia; Pusat Kajian Kecemerlangan Melayu (PKKM-UM), FELCRA FC and working research collaborators from Indonesia, Singapore, UK, China and Japan. His professional competency is shown as a Professional Tennis Coach and was the National Tennis Coach for Malaysia School Sport Council in 1992 and 1995. He is an International Qualified Tennis Umpire / Referee (White Badge Bearer), and also expert in sports event management and recreational outdoor leadership. show more »Prof. Dr. Raymond Ooi is an elected Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia since 2015. He won the Malaysian Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) Science & Technology Award in 2013. He obtained his PhD (dr.rer.nat) from Universitaet Konstanz, Germany in quantum optics and laser cooling of molecules. He then worked as a post-doctoral Research Associate for three years with Marlan O. Scully (a distinguish physicist in quantum coherence). During this time, he was also a Visiting Scientist at Princeton University and Max-Planck Institut fuer Quantenoptik. Then, he joined KAIST as a Research Professor, Korea University as Assistant Professor and Monash University (Sunway) as Senior Lecturer, before joining Universiti Malaya in 2010. His research has produced a total of more than 160 publications (mainly WoS journal & including conference papers) covering quantum optics, nonlinear molecular spectroscopy and quantum microscopy, statistical physics of Bose-Einstein condensates, interactions, generation and propagation of ultrashort and intense laser pulses. In 2011 he initiated the "Quantum and Laser Science" research center and single-handedly developed the Ultrafast High Intensity Femtosecond Laser and Optics facility in High Impact Research (HIR) building through the MoHE grant. In 2018, he initiated and chaired the first international conference on Quantum and Nonlinear Optics(QNO2018). Recently he is leading quantum communications research program for the country.
show more »Lee Kean Yew was born in Jinjang New Village, Malaysia. He completed his PhD in Economics and Administration at the Asia-Europe Institute of the University of Malaya. Prior to this, he served as the Academic Director of the Centre for Malaysia Chinese Studies, where he engaged in scholarly research focusing on Malaysia's Chinese community and published his findings in books, conference proceedings, and a bilingual journal. Currently, he is a senior lecturer and full member at both the Department of Chinese Studies and the Malaysian Chinese Research Centre (MCRC) at the University of Malaya. His research primarily explores overseas Chinese business, cultural studies and religion ethics in business as well as contemporary Buddhism . Among his responsibilities is to promote mutual understanding and communication to explore cooperation opportunities between Malaysian Chinese and overseas enterprises. His research interests encompass entrepreneurial economics, innovation management, Chinese business studies, Asian ethnicity, and development studies. He aims to enhance interactions between Malaysian firms and governments, foster closer ties among Malaysian and international businesses, and contribute to the overall development of Malaysian-European and Malaysian-China economic and trade relations. Recently, he joined the International Council of Small Business (ICSB) to support the growth and development of small businesses in Malaysia. Additionally, he has earned a one-year diploma in Buddhist studies from the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka. 李健友(John Lee Kean Yew)出生于马来西亚吉隆坡增江新村,祖籍惠州,属于客家人。李博士毕业于马来亚大学亚欧研究院,获得经济管理博士学位。目前,他担任马来亚大学中文系的高级讲师,以及华人研究中心的学术成员和马来西亚华社研究中心(华研)的学术董事。 在2018年,李博士荣获第11届“崇越论文大赏”最佳论文奖。他多次受邀参与在马来西亚、中国、英国、美国、澳大利亚等地举行的国际学术会议,并发表的多篇论文均被收录在WOS及SCOPUS社会科学论文索引数据库中。 值此“一带一路倡议”迈入十周年之际,李博士与马来西亚拉曼理工大学的学者共同撰写了《十年成就:中国“一带一路倡议”对马来西亚经济增长的贡献》(2023年),以及英文专著《隐性中的新知识:马来西亚华人家族企业创新》(Routledge,2024年)。他的研究领域涵盖华人家族企业、企业精神与创新管理、佛教研究、华侨华人研究、中国-马来西亚经济发展研究等。此外,他还获得斯里兰卡佛教和巴利大学的佛教研究一年制文凭。
