ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. GIRIBABU NELLI

Dr. Giribabu Nelli is an Associate Professor of Physiology at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, with expertise in reproductive endocrinology, diabetes, obesity, and natural products. His strong academic background includes a PhD from Sri Venkateswara University, Andhra Pradesh, India) and an M.Sc. from Sri Venkateswara University, India. His prolific research career is marked by over 77 ISI-indexed publications, 5 book chapters, and three patents, demonstrating significant contributions to reproductive biology and pre-clinical research. This impactful work is further evidenced by substantial grant funding secured as both principal and co-investigator, totalling nearly RM 2.5 million. A dedicated mentor, Dr. Nelli has successfully supervised 4 PhD and 7 Masters students to completion, fostering the next generation of researchers. His contributions extend to his leadership roles as Academic Editor for prestigious journals such as PLOS ONE, the International Journal of Endocrinology, Frontiers in Endocrinology, and Frontiers in Physiology and Associate Editor for the European Journal of Medical Research. Dr. Nelli's international recognition is highlighted by numerous invited talks at prominent conferences, showcasing his expertise in personalised medicine for endocrine disorders. His leadership is further exemplified by his role as Co-Chairman of the International Conference on Reproductive Science & Medicine. His research consistently bridges preclinical and translational studies, establishing him as a key figure in personalised drug discovery. His impressive career at Universiti Malaya encompasses various academic and administrative roles, including coordinating elective courses and serving as an academic advisor for MBBS students. His dedication and excellence are recognised through the University Malaya Excellent Service Award (APC) in 2018, 2019, and 2021, and the Excellent Service Certificate (SPC) in 2022. He currently serves as President of the Society of Phytopharmacology and Research.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. AZWATEE BINTI ABDUL AZIZ

Dr. Azwatee Abdul Aziz is currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Adelaide, Australia (1999), a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (2004), and a PhD from the University of Malaya (2019). Her academic responsibilities include coordination of the Integrated Cariology Module and Operative Dentistry teaching for fourth- and fifth-year undergraduate students. She plays an active role in curriculum development, clinical training, and academic mentoring at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Azwatee also serves as the Chairperson for the International Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS) at the University of Malaya and is currently serves as an examiner for the Restorative Specialty Membership Examinations conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of England." In recognition of her contributions to dental education and training, she was elected as a Member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Her research interests lie in the areas of dental education, dental erosion, restorative dental materials, and the application of optical coherence tomography in dentistry. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. Dr. Azwatee is an active member of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and a lifetime member of the Malaysian Association for Prosthodontics (MAP).

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. NORJIHAN BINTI ABDUL GHANI

  Norjihan is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaya. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2013) and has served at UM since 2002, contributing extensively to teaching, research, and academic leadership. Her research interests focus on information security, particularly privacy, data security, and data protection, with significant publications in areas such as privacy in location-based services, mobile health applications, and sentiment analysis for mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has led and participated in numerous funded research projects, including those on secure health information exchange, intelligent transportation systems, and early disease prediction through daily activity analysis. Importantly, Dr. Norjihan has demonstrated strong involvement in academic program assessment and development, serving as Program Coordinator for the Master of Information Technology Management and playing a role in curriculum enhancement, underscoring her expertise and recognition in academic quality assurance and program assessment.
