ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. PHOONG SEUK WAI

Dr. Seuk Wai PHOONG is an Associate Professor in the Department of Decision Science, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She is a member of the Malaysian Mathematical Science Society (PERSAMA). Her research interests include applied statistics, econometrics, technology adoption, and education. She has led 10 research projects out of 26 research grants. She has published papers in various WoS and Scopus journals, such as Sage Open, Artificial Intelligence Review, Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, PLOS One, International Journal of Mobile Communications, Journal of Psychoactive Drugs, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, etc. She is also an academic editor for several journals, including PLOS One, Asian Journal of Business and Accounting, Humanities and Social Sciences Communications and SAGE Open. She teaches Business Statistics and Quantitative Analysis for Business at the undergraduate level; Research Methodology, Statistical Analysis, Operational Research and Theories and Issues in Business and Economics at the postgraduate level.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. ROSHIDAH BINTI HASSAN

Roshidah Hassan is an Associate Professor at the Department of Asian Languages, Universiti Malaya. She served as Deputy Dean (Undergraduate Studies) from 2018 to 2022 and previously headed the Department of Asian and European Languages. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Malay Studies (Linguistics) and a PhD from Universiti Malaya, as well as a Diploma in French Studies from the University of La Rochelle and a Master’s in Teaching French as a Foreign Language from the University of Poitiers. Her teaching covers French syntax, morphology, phonetics, and phonology. Her research focuses on language acquisition, phonetics, phonology, and ethnolinguistics. She is currently involved in documenting endangered Orang Asli languages and investigating how Malaysian learners acquire French sounds. She also conducts research on the preservation of Portuguese Creole in Malacca. Her work contributes to sustaining linguistic diversity and enhancing language education for minority and indigenous communities in Malaysia.

DR. CHOONG HOCK KEONG

I am currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chinese Studies at Universiti Malaya. I completed my studies in Universiti Malaya (Bachelor Degree of Chinese Studies) and Peking University (Master Degree and Ph.D. of Chinese Philosophy). My research interests encompass Chinese philosophy and thought, with a particular focus on Daoism and Confucianism, the history of pre-Qin thought, the philology and hermeneutics of Chinese philosophy.
