DR. YAZKHIRUNI BINTI YAHYA

Yazkhiruni Yahya is a senior lecturer at the Accounting Department, Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya. She was awarded the Bachelor of Accounting from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), and obtained her Master in Science (MSc.) of Accounting, also from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). During her study at IIUM, she was exposed with many Islamic Courses such as Islamic Economics, Islamic Accounting and Finance, Accounting for Islamic Institutions, Islamic Worldview and Accounting Ethics, Zakat Accounting and etc. She then pursued her Ph.D. in Islamic (Shariah) Auditing and Judgement Decision Making (JDM) at the University of Malaya (UM) by focusing on Islamic financial institutions. In addition, during her PhD, she was well exposed with experimental research method. In terms of research, she is currently involved in various researches in management accounting and financial accounting, Islamic (Shariah) Accounting and Auditing, Big data auditing and Sustainability. She’s recently completed  a program known as Islamic Finance Mini Pupillage Programme 2019/2020 offered by Malaysian Institute of Accountant (MIA).

DR. ARUTCHELVAN A/L RAJAMANIKAM

Dr. Arutchelvan Rajamanikam is a researcher and senior lecturer from the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya (UM). He has been active in understanding the role of highly prevalent protozoan parasite, mainly, Blastocystis sp. in healthy and diseased individuals. Arutchelvan completed his undergraduate studies in the field of Resource Biotechnology in 2010 and ventured into Parasitology during his Masters studies(MMedSc) in University of Malaya (2015). His interest in understanding the interaction and synergism of intestinal parasite and gut microbiome led him to complete his doctoral studies(PhD) in University of Malaya in the year 2019. Arutchelvan currently aims to make use of data analytics and data science to  decipher the gut microbial diversity patterns, metabolic profile and function in understanding health and explore the predictive ability of the gut microbiome for the benefit of preventive medicine. He has currently embarked into various projects relating to gut microbiome in colorectal cancer and mental illness with special reference to parasite with fundings closed to RM 1 million. He also contributes as reviewer for various ISI-indexed journals. Recently he was appointed as a working group member for European Cooperation in Science and Technology action (CA21105). His current research interest includes the host-parasite interaction in Blastocystis sp. and Acanthamoeba sp.

PROF. DR. GOH KIM LENG

Kim-Leng Goh is appointed as Honorary Professor at the Department of Economics and Applied Statistics, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Malaya after his retirement from his professorial position at the same department. He received his degrees of Bachelor of Economics (Statistics) and Master of Economics from the University of Malaya, and PhD from Monash University (Australia). During his service, he held various academic administrative positions. He was the Deputy Dean of Higher Degree of FEA from September 2016-January 2018, and he held the same position from 2007-2012. He was the Head of Department of Applied Statistics, FEA from 2006-2007 and in 2020. From 2013-2016, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Global Planning & Strategy Centre under the Chancellery to assist the university in strategic planning and world university rankings. He served as the Editor of Malaysian Journal of Economic Studies (indexed in Scopus and ESCI) for about 20 years. He is an Advisor to the Capital Markets Review, and an editorial board member of the International Journal of Services, Economics and Management. He was also an editorial board member of the International Journal of Modelling in Operations Management. His areas of expertise include econometrics, financial econometrics, modeling and applied finance. He has published about 90 papers in refereed academic journals. He is currently supervising 5 PhD candidates, and more than 20 PhD candidates under his supervision have completed their studies.
