Kong Kin Weng holds the position of a senior lecturer in the Department of Molecular Medicine. He joined Universiti Malaya in 2011 as a SLAI Fellow and was honoured with the esteemed Bright Spark Scholarship, which enabled him to pursue his PhD in Molecular Medicine. This marked a turning point as he delved into the molecular intricacies underlying the relationship between food and health. Kong's passion for his field drove him to explore various facets of nutritional sciences, including food analysis, food chemistry, nutritional biochemistry, nutrigenomics (transcriptomics and lipidomics), traditional medicine, and natural products. His work aimed to bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and modern scientific advancements, uncovering the hidden potential of nature's bounty. Kong's dedication to research and commitment to advancing the field did not go unnoticed. During his tenure, he received a travel award for the Japan Medical Innovation Programme (2017) established by Kyushu University that sponsored by the Japan Science and Technology Agency. He experienced as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Medicinal Plant Development, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College sponsored by International Joint Research and Academic Exchanges (One Belt, One Road Project) (2019) and Jeffery Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia (2023). He was the Specially-invited Expert (2017-2020) and the Research Consultant (2019-2024) of Agro-food Science and Technology Research Institute, Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China. Kong is actively involved in many international journals, he was the Review Editor of Frontiers in Nutrition (2017-2024) and was the Lead Guest Associate Editor of Frontiers in Nutrition and Frontiers in Chemistry (Research topic: Phytochemical and nutritional properties of underutilised plants, 2017-2018), Guest Associate Editor of Frontiers in Microbiology (Research topic: Discovery of novel plant-derived compounds with antibacterial actions against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, 2018-2019), and Editorial Board Member of Current Research in Nutrition and Food Science (2017-2021). Currently, he is serving as the Associate Editor of Frontiers in Nutrition (2024-Present), Editorial Board Member of Discovery Food (2024-Present) and Editorial Board Member of Food as Medicine (2025-Present). Kong is an eminent reviewer for many journals, he was honoured with the Publons Peer Review Awards, attaining the distinction of being among the “Top 1% peer reviewers in Agricultural and Biological Sciences, 2017” and “Top 1% of Reviewer in Agricultural Sciences, 2018”. Kong has acted as an external examiner of PhD/MSc theses from different universities. His research on medicinal and functional foods has been published in many reputable peer-reviewed journals as well as book, chapters and patents.

Dr. ROHANA JANI is currently serves as a Specialist attached to the Department of Decision Science, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya (UM). She received her Doctorate (Statistics) from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, MSc (Statistics) from West Virginia University, USA and BSc (Mathematics) from Ohio University, Athens, USA. She has more than two decades of teaching experience in the field of mathematics, statistics and quantitative data analysis. Her areas of expertise include Statistical Data Analysis using Multivariate Techniques, Quantitative Research Methodology, Market Research, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) applications. Her research areas cover issues related to human resources, higher education, gender, youths, disabilities, aging and sexual reproductive health, among which are Family Planning Practice Study in Malaysia; Graduate Tracer Study, MOHE, Malaysia; Studies of Students with Disabilities in HEIs; Quality of Life (QOL) of (PWDs) in Malaysia;  Work and Employment of People with Disabilities in Malaysia; Attitudes towards people with disability and Streamlining Disability into Mainstream Society; Impact of COVID-19 on Deaf Community in Malaysia and A Study of Gender Imbalance in Education. Nor Badrul Anuar is an accomplished academic leader with a wealth of experience in various leadership positions. He currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Infrastructure and Information Services and acts as the Chief Information Officer at Universiti Malaya, where he leads various university services, including ICT, physical infrastructure, sports, and library services. As a senate member, he also chairs many ICT and infrastructure development committees. In addition, he leads the Centre of Research for Cyber Security & Network (CSNET). Nor Badrul Anuar began his academic journey at Universiti Malaya, earning his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He obtained his PhD at the Centre for Information Security & Network Research, University of Plymouth, UK 2012. After joining Universiti Malaya as a tutor in 2001, he was promoted to lecturer in 2003, senior lecturer in 2008, and associate professor in 2017. In 2022, he was promoted to full professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. In addition, he is also serving as a visiting professor at the Institute of Informatics and Computing in Energy (IICE), Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. He has supervised numerous post-doctoral fellows and research students, including eighteen PhD and six master's research students, in the computer network security and applications domain between 2012 and 2022. He has published extensively on computer security and applications, with his work being featured in academic journals both domestically and internationally. As of January 2023, his 152 published papers have attracted 7,670 citations and obtained an H-index of 41, making him a highly cited scholar. He is recognised as an expert in several subject categories, including computer science, engineering, science & technology - other topics, telecommunications, and information science & library science, by Web of Science. In 2022, Stanford University recognised him as one of the world's top 2% scientists. Currently, he serves on the editorial board of two journals, including the Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA), which has an impact factor of 7.574. He has received numerous honours and recognitions throughout his illustrious career. He was honoured by Universiti Malaya for eight consecutive years, from 2012 to 2019, for his outstanding service. In 2015, he was recognised as an outstanding lecturer in science at Universiti Malaya and was awarded the university's highest honour, the Universiti Malaya Excellence Award (Anugerah Cemerlang Universiti Malaya). His research interests are intrusion detection systems, high-speed networks, and management information systems. Specifically, he focuses on intrusion detection systems, intrusion response systems, security events and management, digital forensic and network security, switching, routing, IPv6, and multicast. His current research explores network traffic classification and its applications and the role of federated learning in enhancing network security.
