DR. MEGAT HAFIZZUDDIN BIN ABD HAMID

Dr Megat HBA Hamid is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya. He is an immunobiologist with over nine years of experience in immune-biology, receptor-ligand signalling and spatial tissue immunology. His past work focuses on investigating the intrinsic signalling modulating immune resposnes of cytotoxic T and antibody-producing B cells. In UM, his work focuses on expanding beyond intrinsic T and B cell mechanisms, by exploring the cross-talks between immune, stromal and structural cells in the development and regulation of barrier tissue immunity, as well as during spatial and temporal progression of a disease (with a particular focus on lung injury, lung cancer and lung infections). He leverages cutting-edge technologies- including spatial proteo-transcriptomics, organoid modelling and co-culture functional assays to study cellular heterogeneity, disease-immune dynamics and therapeutic targets. He did his DPhil in Medical Sciences at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford following completion of his undergraduate Bachelor of Biotechnology at the Australian National University. He later held postdoctoral appointments at Oxford Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, where he led and co-authored multiple high-impact studies, including in Nature Immunology, Cancer Immunology Research, Frontiers of Immunology and Thorax. His research has received international recognition through invited talks, travel awards and poster prize at leading conferences including Keystone Symposium and International Congress of Immunology. He has served as a reviewer for journals (Communications Biology and Immunotherapy Advances) and for international grant bodies such as the Dutch Research Council. In 2023, he was awarded the University of Oxford's Award for Excellence- recognising his passion and motivation on immunological research.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. HANY MOHAMED ALY AHMED

Dr Hany Mohamed Aly Ahmed was born in Göttingen, Germany in 1980. He is an Egyptian and was graduated from Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University (ASU), Egypt, with a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Sciences (B.D.S.) in 2002. He started his clinical postgraduate program in Endodontics with a Higher Dental Diploma (H.D.D.) degree in 2006, and he is registered as a Dental Specialist in the field of Endodontics by the Egyptian Dental Syndicate in 2012. Dr. Ahmed continued his postgraduate studies, and joined a Master Degree program (M.Sc.D.) at the School of Dental Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2009 which was converted to Ph.D. in 2011. In July 2023, he has been promoted to Consultant of Endodontics by the Egyptian Dental Syndicate. Dr. Ahmed has been granted a number of awards for his research on the application of Portland cements in Endodontics including the IADR (SE Asian division) for the best laboratory research in 2014. He has also been granted several awards, in Malaysia and Singapore, as a supervisor for several elective research projects. Dr. Ahmed has published more than 120 articles in recognized international journals such as Journal of Endodontics and International Endodontic Journal. In 2012, Dr. Ahmed has introduced a new classification for endoperio lesions, which was published in ENDO, and with experts from Brazil and UK, he has also introduced a new system for classifying the root and root canal morphology in 2016, in addition to accessory canals and dental anomalies in 2018. With an expert from Australia, he has also introduced the PROUD guidelines (Preferred reporting items for root canal morphology in the human dentition), published in the European Endodontic Journal. Dr Ahmed has delievered a number of scientific and clinical lectures and workshops in several countries such as Australia, Austria, Italy, Vietnam, Thailand and Egypt. He was also invited as a Keynote Speaker by the European Society of Endodontology which was held in Vienna, 2019, Budapest 2022 and Helsinki 2023, and he also lead a number of workshops related to root and canal morphology. Currently, he is an associate professor of Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya, and he leads a number of grants in Malaysia related to root canal morphology and endodontic bio-materials. He has received two awards from the UM - Excellent service certificate (2019) and Excellent service award (2022). In 2021, he has obtained the membership diploma from the Faculty of Dental Trainers, Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), and he became a fellow of the International College of Dentists, USA. Dr Ahmed has also been listed in the top 2% Scientists worldwide, Stanford university report, 2022, 2023, USA. He is a scientific reviewer and editorial board member in national and international journals. He is an editorial board member of the International Endodontic Journal (The official publication of the British Endodontic Society). He also is the Deputy Editor-In- Chief of the European Endodontic Journal. He is one of the editors for the book entitled "Endodontic Advances and Evidence Based clinical guidelines" published by Wiley in 2022.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. EZLIKA BINTI MOHD GHAZALI

Dr. Ezlika M. Ghazali is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She holds an MBA from the University of Malaya and a Ph.D. in Marketing from Warwick University, United Kingdom. Dr. Ghazali’s career is marked by significant contributions to academia through teaching, research, and administration, as well as active engagement in social causes. Academic and Professional Background Dr. Ghazali’s academic journey is underpinned by rigorous training and extensive experience. She served as the Head of the Management Department at her institution, demonstrating strong leadership and administrative capabilities. In addition, she is a member of several professional bodies, including the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Academy of Marketing, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development. Research Contributions With an output of over 130 scholarly publications, Dr. Ghazali’s research interests span consumer behaviour, sustainability, and cultural influences in marketing. Her work has been published in high-impact international journals such as the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Electronic Markets, Internet Research, Industrial Management & Data Systems, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, Journal of Service Theory and Practice, International Journal of Hospitality Management, and the International Journal of Consumer Studies, among others. She has investigated diverse topics ranging from digital consumer engagement to pro-environmental consumption patterns in different cultural contexts. Several of Dr. Ghazali’s publications are highly cited in the field. For example, her study on consumers’ values in purchasing organic personal care products (published in the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services) has been cited over 430 times, reflecting its significant impact. Another notable paper, exploring pro-environmental behaviours through the lens of Value-Belief-Norm theory (in Sustainability), has garnered over 250 citations, underscoring her influence in sustainability research. Additionally, her work on mobile commerce adoption in Malaysia (in the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics) has accumulated over 200 citations, highlighting her contributions to understanding technology adoption in emerging markets. Teaching and Mentorship Dr. Ghazali is dedicated to education and mentorship, having developed and taught numerous marketing courses such as Strategic Marketing, Marketing Research Methods, Marketing Data Analysis, and Consumer Behaviour. She has supervised multiple Ph.D. candidates and over 30 Master’s theses, contributing significantly to the academic growth of her students and the next generation of scholars. Internationalisation and Global Impact A hallmark of Dr. Ghazali’s career is her extensive international collaboration and global engagement. She has co-authored journal articles and conference papers with scholars from more than ten countries – including the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Indonesia, Oman, and Australia – reflecting a truly global research network. She has also co-edited academic volumes with international collaborators and contributed chapters through leading publishers such as Springer, Elsevier, and Emerald, showing the global reach of her scholarly work. Dr. Ghazali actively contributes to international conferences: notably, she was on the organizing committee for the IBA-UM International Marketing Conference 2016, and she presented her research at global forums such as the Academy for Global Business Advancement (AGBA) World Congress and the Association for Consumer Research (ACR Europe) conference. Her professional affiliations further highlight her global outlook, as she holds memberships in worldwide networks like APA, the Academy of Marketing, and ServCollab, and she serves on the editorial boards of international journals as well as on global research and grant review committees. Through internationally funded research projects – including a collaborative initiative on innovative insect-based protein sources and various sustainability-focused studies – Dr. Ghazali works with cross-border teams to address pressing marketing and consumer challenges around the world. Awards and Recognitions Dr. Ghazali’s work has been acknowledged through numerous awards, including a Best Paper Award and two Wiley “Top Cited Article” honors. As of 2025, her scholarly output has achieved an h-index of 25 and an i10-index of 38 on Google Scholar (along with an h-index of 17 on Scopus), reflecting the influence and reach of her research contributions. Social and Community Engagement Dr. Ghazali is deeply committed to social causes, particularly the well-being of children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She has contributed to translating autism-related literature from Malay to English, enhancing accessibility to critical resources for families and practitioners. Her community engagement efforts demonstrate a dedication to leveraging her expertise for social good. Dr. Ezlika M.
