DR. PREMALATHA A/P THIAGARAJAN

Premalatha Thiagarajan is currently a senior lecturer and the Deputy Dean (Undergraduate and Student Affairs) at the Faculty of Creative Arts, Universiti Malaya. Trained in the Indian classical dances, Bharata Natyam and Odissi, she has staged numerous dance performances and conducted workshops and lecture-demonstrations in Malaysia and abroad. She is the founder of Premalayaa Performing Arts, a company that specialises in Indian classical dance and music. She is a member of the ICTM Study Group on Ethnochoreology, World Dance Alliance (WDA) and the Dance Studies Association (DSA). Through her numerous research publications, she has pioneered the study on Indian dance in Malaysia. Her current research interest also focuses on dance as therapy and arts and indigenous tourism.

DR. NUR NAJAH RADHIAH BINTI ZAINAL ABIDIN

Najah Zainal Abidin is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, Universiti Malaya. Her research delves into the intricate ways language influences political, gender, and social dynamics. With a keen interest in the interplay of evasive language, hate speech, impoliteness, and the giving and taking of offenses, she explores how these elements manifest in both everyday conversations and online environments. Najah's work also focuses on discriminatory and offensive language, examining how it shapes and reflects societal attitudes and power structures.

ASSOCIATE PROF. IR. DR. TEOH WEY YANG

Wey Yang TEOH is Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Malaya (UM). He gained BE and PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. Prior to UM, he received his tenure as Associate Professor at the School of Energy and Environment, City University of Hong Kong, where he led the Clean Energy and Nanotechnology (CLEAN) Laboratory. His research is dedicated to the fundamentals of heterogeneous thermal- and photocatalysis, and particularly in solving various Energy and Environmentally-related problems. Among them, he developed advanced catalysts for solar hydrogen generation, reduction of carbon dioxide, biomass valorization, and the abatement of environmental micropollutants. He currently holds Honorary Associate Professorship at UNSW, Erskine Fellowship at the University of Canterbury and serves on the Innovation Advisory Board of HeiQ AG (a global leader in textile innovation and listed company on London Stock Exchange).
