Dr. Zainal Abidin Ali is a senior lecturer at Pusat Asasi Sains Universiti Malaya (PASUM). He is the Head of Welfare and Counselling Unit and also the Mental Health Liaison Officer (MHLO) for PASUM.His researches focus on green synthesis of nanomaterials, development of antibacterial coating as well as UV/IR filtered coating.He enjoys listening to music, plays guitar and reading history books

MR. MAGESAN A/L R AYAVOO

Mr. Magesan R. Ayavoo holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of London (External) and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of East London, United Kingdom, obtained in 2004. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 2006 and is also a certified Mediator accredited by the Malaysian Mediation Centre. Prior to entering academia, Mr. Magesan gained over seven years of legal practice experience, during which he handled a broad spectrum of criminal and civil litigation, including consumer and employment disputes. He was actively involved in legal aid work, having represented clients in numerous criminal, industrial, and family court matters across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. He began his academic career in October 2012 as an Expert Consultant at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya. He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer, where he is deeply engaged in undergraduate teaching and research. His areas of specialization include Professional Practice, Legal Practice & Ethics, Constitutional Law, and Criminal Justice, with particular emphasis on Criminal Law and Procedure. In addition to his legal practice and teaching, Mr. Magesan frequently contributes to public legal education through his appearances on television programs, news features, and public forums, where he speaks on a variety of legal topics.

DR. SHEHDA R. S. ABUISAAC

Abuisaac is an academic, translator, and interpreter currently serving as a lecturer at the University of Malaya. He holds extensive expertise in translation studies, intercultural communication, TESOL, and Arabic-English linguistics. Formerly the head of a translation unit at an English language center, he has designed and taught courses that integrate language, technology, and critical thinking to enhance students’ communicative and analytical skills.  Abuisaac’s research interests span Qur’anic translation, pragma-translation, intercultural rhetoric, discourse analysis of literary texts, and communication within cross-cultural contexts. He also specializes in syntax and semantics, focusing on the interface between structure and meaning across languages. His academic work emphasizes the role of language in shaping understanding, identity, and dialogue across cultures. He has supervised postgraduate research on media language, pragmatics, and cross-cultural communication, and is committed to learner-centered, research-informed teaching practices. His scholarly approach blends theory and practice, fostering both linguistic precision and cultural awareness. Fluent in Arabic and English, and experienced in both academic instruction and professional interpretation,  Abuisaac continues to contribute to the fields of language, translation, andintercutlrual  communication through teaching, research, and scholarly collaboration.
