ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. AMER SIDDIQ BIN AMER NORDIN

Dr Amer Siddiq Amer Nordin is an Associate Professor, consultant psychiatrist and smoking cessation specialist from University Malaya. He is the coordinator of the Nicotine Addiction Research Group of UMCAS and is the primary investigator for the Grand Challenge Grant (GC004-15HTM) investigating gaps in upscaling existing smoking cessation services in Malaysia. The training that his team developed, is one of three pathways to be a certified smoking cessation provider. He is a technical and expert advisor to the Ministry of Health for policy documents including the Tobacco Control National Strategic Plan 2015-2020 document and mQuit Services project which is involved in strengthening the "O" of MPOWER. As part of his interest, he is involved with both local and international organization in tobacco control and cessation and is active in communicating his ideas on tobacco control in social, mass and scientific media in Malaysia and abroad. DR. MOHAMED NASHRUDIN BIN NAHARUDIN

Dr. Mohamed Nashrudin bin Naharudin is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Sports Science (Exercise Physiology) and a Master of Philosophy (Exercise Physiology) from the University of Malaya, as well as a PhD from Loughborough University. Notably, his doctoral thesis investigated the effects of pre-exercise carbohydrate intake on appetite regulation and subsequent resistance exercise performance. Dr. Naharudin's research interests focus on exercise physiology, sports nutrition, and exercise performance. His work has been cited over 200 times, reflecting his contributions to these fields. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Naharudin actively engages in public speaking and leadership roles. He recently delivered a lecture on "Exercise and Dietary Recommendations for Diabetics" at the Sport and Exercise Research Center of Universitas Negeri Surabaya and deliver many  other lectures in Indonesian Universities. Dr. Mohamed Nashrudin bin Naharudin has actively participated in various media engagements, sharing his expertise on sports science and health-related topics. In year 2023, Dr Nash has been appointed by YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sport Malaysia, as one of the board member for National Sport Institute. A year later, 2024, The institute has appointed Dr Nash as expert matter consultant in the area of Sports and Exercise Physiology in ensuring an effective impact in both research and application towards high performance athletes. He also has chaired many meetings (task force and quotation technical committee) in ISN and UM As a former national rower, he has been chosen by Malaysia Rowing Association to be trained in South Korea as Malaysian Paralympic Rowing qualifier.

SR DR. HASNIYATI BINTI HAMZAH

Dr Hasniyati Hamzah is a senior lecturer with the Department of Real Estate, Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya. She holds PhD in Property from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Hasniyati actively researches and publishes in the areas of housing, urban studies, real estate law and real estate education. Her main research expertise is in housing tenure, which has led to the Malaysian Surveyor's Best Paper (PMVS Division) 2015 and a consultancy with Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) on the Rent-to-Own scheme in Iskandar Malaysia. Among her research topics are housing pathways, alternative housing tenure, Mass Customised Housing, Smart Cities and professional socialisation among real estate students. She also studies strata management law in Malaysia, particularly the strata tribunal and the management for mixed strata development (sub-MC). Her research approaches have mainly leaned towards qualitative and mixed methods. Dr Hasniyati has published in top tier journals including Urban Studies, Housing Theory and Society, Journal of Housing and Built Environment, Open House International and Pacific Rim Real Estate Society Journal. She is a member of the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society (PRRES), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and Malaysian Institute of Property and Facilities Management (MIPFM).  She currently sits in the Examination and Publication Sub-committees of the Property Surveying Division of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia. In the past, she has served as Article Editor for SAGE Open, Internal Journal of Property Sciences and Journal of Design and Built Environment, besides serving as a reviewer for a number of local and international journals. In terms of teaching, Dr Hasniyati teaches predominantly real estate law subjects and has examined PhD and masters theses on the subject. She currently supervises PhD students undertaking research in strata management, public housing maintenance, Transit Oriented Development and Smart City.
