Ts. Dr. Md. Hasanuzaman is a Chartered Engineer, UK and working as Associate Professor at the UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE), Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He was listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University & Elsevier since 2020 to 2025; Top 4 Scientists in Malaysia (Energy Engineering), Engineering & Technology, AD Scientific Index 2025. He is recipient of AUA Scholars Award 2023-2024, Excellence Bangladeshi Academician Award 2024, Universiti Malaya Excellent Service Awrad 2023, Universiti Malaya Excellent Service Certificate 2021. Dr. Hasan served as the Programme Coordinator Master of Renewable Energy, Double Degree Programme with Master of Energy Science, Kyoto University, Japan from April 2012 to September 2020. He earned his PhD and an M. Eng. Sc. from the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia and a B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. He is a recipient of UM Excellence Award 2012 for his outstanding achievement in his PhD; merit Scholarship from Bangladesh Scholarship Council and Nippon Foundation, Japan in 2003-2004. Dr. Hasan’s research interests include Thermal Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Thermal, Energy and Buildings, Energy Policy, Electric and Hydrogen Vehicles, Sustainability and Carbon Pricing. He is an Associate Editor of the Alexandria Engineering Journal, Elsevier; Guest Editor of Renewable Energy. His 2 books: (1) Technologies for Solar Thermal Energy, 2022 and (2) Energy for Sustainable Development, 2020 published by Elsevier.

Dr. Syazreen Nadia is a Ph.D. graduate in Organic Chemistry from Universiti Malaya, specializing in natural products, phytochemicals, nutraceuticals, and cosmetic science. Her research focuses on the development of traditional and herbal medicine, with particular expertise in the extraction, purification, and formulation of bioactive compounds from natural sources. Dr. Syazreen is also actively involved in creating nutraceutical and cosmetic products using sustainable, plant-based ingredients. She has recently expanded her work into nanotechnology, particularly in the application of nano delivery systems to improve the performance and stability of active ingredients in health and skincare formulations. With extensive experience in both academia and industry—spanning R&D, quality control, and scientific sales—Dr. Syazreen brings a well-rounded and innovative approach to product development and applied chemistry research.

My academic career began on December 05, 2001 as a tutor at the Department of Islamic History and Civilization, APIUM. A year later I had completed my Usuluddin Master's Degree in Islamic History with a dissertation entitled "Dato' Haji Ismail Yusof: His Contribution to the Development of Islam in Kelantan". After completing my master's degree, I was assigned as a lecturer in the Department of Islamic History and Civilization on January 24, 2003 until now. In 2012, I have successfully graduated with a PhD degree from the same deparment after submitting a research thesis entitled "Majalah Pengasuh After Independence: A Study of Themes and Approaches". Throughout my career as a lecturer at Department of Islamic History and Civilization, I have actively written various articles in the fields of Islamic letters, the development of jawi writing, sirah nabawiah, Method of Islamic Biography Writing and Islamic civilization in addition to presenting papers at national or international seminars. Among the areas of research that have been carried out are on Jawi writing, Jawi-Islamic manuscripts, and Islamic letters, scholarly figures of the Malay Peninsula and the relationship between Malaysian and Indonesian Islamic institutions of higher education. I have written more than 60 papers in seminar proceedings, more than 125 articles that have been published in national and international journals, in addition to various activities that are academic, community and so on. Now I have been entrusted to lead the Department of History and Islamic Civilization as the Head of Department starting from Julai 2012 until April 30, 2020. In addition, I was also appointed as Ahli Lembaga Pengarah Universiti Islam Malaysia since 2019 and also now as Ahli Senat UIM. In 2022, I was appointed as Prof Madya in the same department and have now published more or less 250 publications in various academic mediums.
