Dr. Mohammaddin is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Fiqh-Usul and Applied Sciences, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya (UM). He holds a PhD, an MSc, and a Bachelor of Syariah in Islamic Astronomy from UM, complemented by technical grounding in network systems through Cisco CCNA training. His research focuses on integrating Syariah with scientific and computational approaches, particularly in Ilmu Falak, applied Islamic science, and computation. His academic and professional engagements span programme coordination, curriculum development, editorial appointments, research collaboration, and participation in national and international platforms as keynote speaker, invited speaker, reviewer, assessor, and trainer. His current trajectory extends this interdisciplinary work in contemporary Fiqh through emerging technologies, especially AI and computational applications for Islamic knowledge, institutional practice, and societal development.
