Dr. Mohammaddin serves as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Fiqh-Usul and Applied Sciences, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya (UM). He holds a PhD, an MSc, and a Bachelor of Syariah in Islamic Astronomy from UM, complemented by prior technical grounding in network systems through Cisco CCNA training. Research and scholarly contributions focus on integrating Syariah with contemporary scientific and computational approaches, particularly in Ilmu Falak, astroclimatology, and applied computation within Islamic contexts. Academic and professional engagements encompass programme coordination, curriculum development, editorial appointments, research collaboration, and participation in local and international academic platforms as keynote speaker, invited speaker, reviewer, assessor, and trainer. Current expertise centres on contemporary Fiqh, Ilmu Falak, Islamic computation, and intervention-based research, with sustained engagement in connecting Syariah, science, and technology for education and societal development.
