Dr Lim is a medical lecturer of occupational and public health at the Universiti Malaya (UM). He holds a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), Master of Public Health (MPH), and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from UM. Prior to joining UM, he worked for the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), the district health office, and the Institute of Medical Research (IMR). A primary interest of him relates to the influence of the circadian system on chronic disease and mental health in humans. He also studies shift work as a surrogate for exposure to light at night including related biomarkers for cancer, metabolic syndrome, and mental health. In 2019, he was awarded a distinction in thesis titled "Health Impacts of Night Work Among Employees in Malaysia" when he obtained his DrPH. Since 2021, Dr. Lim has participated in 26 projects, collectively securing grants exceeding USD 685 thousand (RM 3 million). As Principal Investigator, he has led studies on night shift work, fatigue, and non-communicable diseases. Dr Lim's main successful project as a Principal Investigator was the development of facial anthropometric data for Malaysian in 2021. The project worth more than USD 85 thousand (RM 345,000.00), which comprised 4,000 participants from all over Malaysia. The study aimed to produce suitable respirators (n-95) that fit the Malaysian population. This project resulted in the publication of four ISI Q1 and Q2 papers. The papers were presented during the 34th International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) Congress 2024, where he was the second Malaysian recipient honoured with the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH)-International Labour Organisation (ILO) Master Fellowship Award 2024. He is also the recipient of the Researcher Mobility and Networking Programme by National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Taiwan 2024 and the award of Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship (2025-26). Additionally, Dr. Lim serves as an article reviewer for prominent academic journals, which include BMJ Open, Plos One, and BMC Public Health. Dr. Lim is actively engaged in the production of media pieces, with a particular emphasis on subjects pertaining to occupational safety and health, as well as non-communicable diseases. Since the year 2021, he has successfully disseminated a total of 65 media articles. In addition to his research endeavours, Dr. Lim is committed to mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals and researchers. Currently, there are over 12 PHDs (3 graduated) and 16 master candidates (12 graduated) under his supervision. His teaching contributions extend globally, including the development and delivery of online occupational health courses on the FutureLearn platform, as well as the publication of a 300-page textbook on occupational health and a book chapter in Springer on Climate Change. His dedication to improving safety and health, teaching and research excellence has earned him recognition as the Best Lecturer (non-clinical) for the Universiti Malaya Medical Programme in 2024 and Certificate for Excellent Service UM in 2024. Dr. Lim's expertise and contributions extend beyond academia, as he frequently collaborates with healthcare organisations and policymakers to translate research findings into practical applications that benefit public health. His work continues to make a significant impact on the field and the broader community.          

Dr. Dorothy DeWitt is currently an Associate Researcher and a retired Associate Professor in the Curriculum and Instructional Technology Department, University Malaya. She is also an Adjunt Professor at Open University Malaysia. She is an alumnus of the Endeavour Executive Fellowship from the government of Australia. She was formerly with the Educational Technology Division (ETD), Ministry of Education, Malaysia, where she was involved in the Smart School Pilot Project in change management and managing the development of digital materials during the project. In addition, she was involved in the research, management and promotion of innovation in instruction. Her current interests are in instructional design, new pedagogies and technologies for knowledge management, collaborative mobile learning and problem solving. Her publications include academic articles in ISI-ranked publications and journals such as Journal of Educational Technology and Society (ETS), Eurasian Journal of Mathematics, Science and Educational Technology (EJMSET), and Educational Technology Research & Development (ETR&D), and many other Scopus-ranked publications. She has published books on technology-enhanced learning, blended learning, problem-solving for transformative learning, collaborative mobile learning and developmental research. She has been involved in research in collaborative and mobile learning since 2007, and is looking at designs of instructional systems that encourage problem-solving, communication and collaboration using cognitive tools and technologies for schools, higher education and training. As principal investigator, she has been awarded external grants (FRGS) as well as internal grants (RU grant and UMRG) in projects related to technology and problem-solving for instruction. She has also been involved as co-researcher in many other projects related to technology use. Her PhD thesis explored the possibility of collaborative learning using mobile technologies for a mobile learner to enable learning to occur anywhere and at any time; using the collaborative mLearning framework.  She was appointed as consultant in projects related to curriculum acceptance, 21st century learning, and has been involved in training programs for technology pedagogical content knowledge at Academic Enhancement & Leadership Development Centre, University Malaya, as well as many workshops and training programs in 21st century learning, blended learning and online pedagogies, both locally and internationally. Recently, she has expanded her expertise to mixed realities in education.  She has won awards in teaching innovations both at the national and international level. Her team won the Best Immersive Learning Showcase at iLRN2020 (International). She was awarded the University Malaya Excellence Award for Innovative E-Learning in 2018 and is also a reviewer and editorial board member of several ISI journals, and chief editor of TEMPAWAN, a Malaysian peer-reviewed research journal.    

Professor Dr. Ernest Poh Mau Ern is Associate Professor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. He is also Consultant Respiratory Physician at both University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and University Malaya Specialist Centre (UMSC). Formerly a graduate of University of Malaya, he has worked both locally and abroad in the United Kingdom being trained in areas of respiratory, critical care, transplant and sleep medicine. He is highly skillful in pleural ultrasound, bronchoscopy and pleuroscopy.  Prior to his return to Malaysia, he was awarded the Specialty Certificate in Respiratory Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and British Thoracic Society (BTS).  Professor Dr. Ernest Poh is a top ranked academic in the country. He was awarded the prestigious "Best Lecturer Award" by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya in 2018. He is well respected and liked by peers and his students.  Aside from treating a variety of respiratory and sleep conditions, Dr. Poh is recognized as an expert in lung cancer, which remains an interest close to his heart. He is an active researcher in many international clinical research trials treating lung cancer, COPD and bronchiectasis. Recognized as a global expert in respiratory medicine, he was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, FRCP (London, UK) and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, FCCP (USA).  He is also affiliated to the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR), Malaysian Thoracic Society (MTS), Academy of Medicine Malaysia (AM), American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and Royal College of Physicians (RCP, UK).  As a doctor, he is known to be kind, compassionate and loving and is very popular amongst his patients.
