ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. MARNIZA BINTI SAAD

Marniza Saad is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Department of Clinical Oncology, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, since 2006. She also holds the Associate Professor post at the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya (UM) Kuala Lumpur. She obtained her Medical Degree from University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, United Kingdom in 1997. She completed her general medical training within the South Wales Medical Rotation in 2000. In 2001 she joined UM as a trainee lecturer in Oncology. She pursued her formal training as clinical oncologist at the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, UK from 2002 to 2006 and was awarded the Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists (Clinical Oncology) in 2006. She is now the supervisor and internal examiner for the Master of Clinical Oncology programme in UM since May 2006. Working within the department Education Committee, she has deep passion for education and training of future oncologists in Malaysia. She was the Head of Department of Clinical Oncology UMMC from 2013 to 2015. During this time she was overseeing the development of Stereotactic Radiosurgery/Radiotherapy (SRS/SRT) and Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) with the designated expert teams, until successful initiation of the services in UMMC in May and September 2015, respectively. She is currently in the UMMC Intra-Operative Radiotherapy Working Group to introduce the service in UMMC in the near future. She is an Exco Committee member for Malaysia Oncological Society since 2013. She is a member of College of Radiology Academy of Medicine Malaysia and European Society for Medical Oncology. Her areas of special interest include genitourinary cancer, sarcoma, breast and gastrointestinal cancers. She is the principle investigator for several international clinical trials mainly in urological cancers and regularly speaks in the areas of her interest at both local and international conferences.

PROFESSOR IR. DR. MOHD FAIZUL BIN MOHD SABRI

I am a Professor and Deputy Dean of Research at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya. I am a registered Professional Engineer (PEng) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE). I previously served as the President of the Malaysian Thermoelectric Society and held administrative positions including Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (2016-2019). I also serve as a program examiner for the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC), Malaysia, contributing to the quality assurance of engineering education in the country. My research focuses on energy materials, electronics packaging (solder alloys) and MEMS. I have published over 200 ISI-indexed journal articles, 2 books, and 10 book chapters. My work has garnered over 4,600 citations with an h-index of 35. I hold 7 patents related to my research areas. I have been invited to deliver 7 keynote talks at international conferences and 15 invited talks at local and international conferences. I have secured research grants totaling RM13.6 million and led projects worth RM1.6 million. I have served as an examiner for 29 PhD theses (16 international) and 25 Master's theses (1 international). My expertise is also recognized through my appointment as a reviewer for more than 35 journals and my role as an evaluator for national and international research funding applications. I have supervised more than 30 postgraduate students (specifically 19 PhD, 15 Master's completed, and 10 ongoing).

DR. MUHAMMAD FAUZI BIN ABD JALIL

ChM. Dr Muhammad Fauzi Abd Jalil hold a PhD in Pharmacy from University College London, UK. He also has a master's in engineering (Bioprocess) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Degree in Biotechnology from International Islamic University Malaysia. He started his career in Biocon Sdn Bhd as an Associate in Quality Assurance department and later he moved to Drug Product department. In Biocon, he gained experienced on handling the QA and cGMP related documents, large scale Insulin manufacturing, revised the Batch Manufacturing Records and spearheaded Continued Process Verification Report. Later in his career he joint Sumitomo Chemical Enviro Agro Sdn Bhd as the Deputy Manager in Formulation department, later known as the Chemistry department. In Sumitomo, he was responsible to develop, improve and innovate new formulation or product for insecticide.  Currently, he is interested in improving the delivery of high potential drug but with poor absorption and permeation at the targeted area via various type of formulations and techniques. AI and 3D printing also are one of the areas that he wants to develop especially for personalized medicine. With a diversified experienced in Pharmaceutical and insecticide industry he welcomes any type of collaboration in future.
