Dr. Narsimlu Kemsaram is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD in Computer Science. During his PhD, he worked as an Assistant Researcher with the Department of Computer Science at the Julius Maximilian University, Würzburg, Germany, on the research project of "An Autonomous Sensor Network for the Detection and Observation of Meteors (ASMET)," funded by the European Union-Regional Development Fund (EU-RDF). After his PhD, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Mobile Perception Systems (MPS) Research Lab, Signal Processing Systems Research Group, at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, Netherlands, on the research project of "integrated Cooperative Automated Vehicles (i-CAVE): Sensing, Mapping, and Localization," funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO). Later, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Space Robotics (SpaceR) Research Group, SnT Research Centre, at the University of Luxembourg, Kirchberg Campus, Luxembourg, on the research projects of "Secure and Safe Multi-Robot Systems (SESAME)," funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 (EU-H2020), and "5G-Sky: Interconnecting the Sky in 5G and Beyond – A Joint Communication and Control Approach," funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund CORE (FNR-CORE). Later, he worked as a Research Fellow in Multi-Robot Systems with the Department of Computer Science at the University College London (UCL), London, United Kingdom, on the research project of "Swarm Spatial Sound Modulators (Swarm SSMs)," funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Prosperity Partnership and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). show more »Dr. Pauline Yeoh is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She earned her Doctoral Degree through the Fast Track PhD program, Graduate On Time with Distinction for Thesis. Registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, Dr. Yeoh is passionate about advancing digital health and strives to bridge the gap between engineering and medicine through innovative research in computational intelligence for healthcare applications. Her research involvement spans national, industrial, and international collaborations, including participation in the China–Malaysia ‘AI+’ New Materials Joint Laboratory between Universiti Malaya and Peking University. During her PhD, she was selected as one of only 30 participants for the Association of Commonwealth Universities Summer School 2022 and served as a visiting PhD student at Xuzhou Medical University, China. She actively fosters global academic engagement and multidisciplinary research dialogues.
show more »Faridah Othman is a registered Professional Engineer (PEng, Malaysia) and a Certified EIA Consultant (DOE, Malaysia). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Missouri (USA), Master and PhD from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK). Her field of specialization is Water and Environmental Engineering. Her research interest includes water resources and management, water security, floods, river conservation and pollution control, water supply and sewerage, as well as hydro-environment. She has vast experience in computer modelling and simulations which includes flood, river and surface water quality. She is also interested in the Artificial Intelligence and Optimization models, along with GIS and remote sensing application. She has over 25 years of teaching and supervising experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels., and successfully supervising more than 30 postgraduates inclusive of PhDs, Masters and Post Doctorate. She has authored and co-authored more than 180 articles including journals, conferences and technical reports in national and international publications. She is a passionate and self-motivated researcher with a strong desire to build a career within the research industry. In her career, she has been actively involved in numerous consultation projects with the relevant authorities and private companies, local and international. Moreover, she is also doing research collaboration with industries, other universities, research institutions, and communities, to ensure that her research would benefit not only to the academic world but the nation, societies, and communities.
