ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. NURHIDAYAH BINTI ABDULLAH

Dr. Nurhidayah binti Abdullah received her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) and Master in Comparative Law (M.C.L) from the International Islamic University Malaysia and went to earn Doctor of Philosophy (2015) from the University of Sydney Business School, Australia. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2004. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Administrative Studies and Politics, Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Malaya.Her research interest lies broadly in the area of contract law, business law including the social and economic aspects relevant to strengthen the areas of law. She has written extensively in the area of good faith in contractual performance and published in various local and international reputed journals. Her first book ‘Good Faith in Contractual Performance in Australia’ is published by Palgrave Macmillan, an international reputed publisher.Recently, she presented her presentation entitled "Good Faith In Contractual Performance :Chasing a Mirage' in front of the judges at Palace of Justice, Putrajaya.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. NIK DALIANA BINTI NIK FARID

Nik Daliana Nik Farid earned her medical degree from the University of Adelaide, South Australia in 2001. Upon graduation, she joined the Malaysian government service and did house officer training and medical officer work at Kuala Lumpur Hospital. In 2005, she joined the Institute for Public Health where she was appointed as the Main Research Group member for the Third National Health and Morbidity Survey. In 2007, she went on to study at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur where she received her Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degrees. In 2012, she served as the second Medical Officer of Health at Mukah Division Health Office, Sarawak where she covered two major sections namely Epidemiology as well as Maternal and Child Health. Nik Daliana then continued her service as the Head of Primary Health Care Unit at the Hulu Langat District Health Office, Selangor. She left the Ministry of Health in August 2013 to serve the University of Malaya. Nik Daliana is currently a Medical Lecturer in the Department of Social and Peventive Medicine with a specialisation in Public Health. She has a special interest in adolescent health. More specifically her work aims to address the five areas, namely sexual and reproductive health, mental health, nutritional health, physical activity and high risk behaviour. Her contribution to this field include: conducting research on sexual risk behaviour among incarcerated adolescents in welfare institutions; assessing for non-communicable diseases among school-going adolesents and setting up of an adolescent friendly website for quasi experimental study. Also, she is involved in the collection and distribution of literatures pertaining to adolescent's health by a clearinghouse centre in UM. Nik Daliana is presently a member of the Malaysian Association for Adolescent Health (MAAH); Malaysian Clearinghouse Center for Adolescent Health (MyCCAdH); Malaysian Care for Adolescent Project (MyCAP); Malaysian Health and Adolescents Longitudinal Research Study (MyHeARTs) and Ministry of Health Malaysia National Technical Committee for Adolescent Health. Nik Daliana teaches Family Health to postgraduate and undergraduate students. She coordinates one postgraduate course in 2019/20 i.e. Society, Behaviour and Health. A strong advocate of problem-based learning (PBL) technique, Nik Daliana tutors PBL sessions for Stage 1 and 2 University of Malaya Medical Programme (UMMP) students. Administratively, Nik Daliana has coordinated Master of Public Health and Master of Medical Science (Public Health) programmes. Currently, she coordinates the Doctor of Public Health Programme and assists in the coordination of the University of Malaya-Kyoto University Double Degree Programme for Public Health.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. HANIZAH BINTI IDRIS

Associate Professor Dr. Hanizah Idris is an academic staff at the Department of Southeast Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, currently serve as the Head of Department. She also had an experience in holding other administrative post at the faculty level and has been appointed as a Deputy Dean (undergraduate) from 2010-2014. Her area of research is on maritime development in Southeast Asia focusing on port and shipping as well as policy and governance of maritime sector in the region. Her area of research also covers other interesting area such as maritime tourism and sustainable development of the maritime sector. Dr. Hanizah has always been invited as a speaker in international conference and seminar and working closely with the Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA), a think tank for Malaysia's maritime industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Department of Maritime Affairs), and port authorities in Malaysia. She has also contributed in sharing her expertise with government agencies on various issues related to maritime affairs in the region, including the Ministry of Foreign affairs, Maritime Division, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Department of Statistic, Malaysia, Institute of Strategic Studies (ISIS), Malaysia and with industries as well. Dr. Hanizah has involved in collaborations with foreign universities including Miami University, USA, Yonsei University, Korea, Soka University, Japan and Sindh University, Pakistan in terms of academic activities, students mobility programs and conferences. Her latest publications including a chapter in book titled "Realizing Blue Economy Potential in Malaysia, Opportunities and Challenges".(2023). Routledge, CRC Press, a book titled "Sustainable Maritime Tourism in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia". (2017). UM Press, a chapter in book titled "Social-Cultural Aspects of Maritime Malaysia'.
