ASSOCIATE PROF. IR. DR. NORRIMA BINTI MOKHTAR

Norrima Mokhtar received the Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng) degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Malaya in 2000. After working two years with International Telecommunication Industry with attachment at Echo Broadband GmbH, she managed to secure Panasonic Scholarship which required intensive screening at the national level in 2002. She finished her Master of Engineering at Oita University, Japan under financial support received from Panasonic Scholarship in 2006. Consequently, she was appointed as a lecturer to serve the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Malaya immediately after graduating with her Master of Engineering. As part of her career development, she received SLAB/SLAI scholarship to attain her Ph.D. in 2012. She held several important positions such as Coordinator for Industrial Training, Coordinator for Research Laboratory, Coordinator for EBA-Consortium(Keio University), Coordinator for Nagaoka University of Technology and Coordinator for Manchester Metropolitan University(UK). Dr. Norrima was also the principal investigator for High Impact Research Grant (MOHE) worth of RM 1 million along with Science Fund and CREST grant. She is the author and co-author of more than 50 publications in international journals and proceedings in Sensors, Automation, Image Processing, Human-Computer Interface, Brain-Computer Interface, UAV and Robotics. To date, she had successfully supervised 4 PhD and 4 Master Engineering Science students (by research). She is also active as reviewer for many reputable journals and several international conferences.

DR. SHARIFAH FATMADIANA BT WAN MUHAMMAD HATTA

Dr.Sharifah Fatmadiana is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya in Malaysia since year 2014. She graduated with an MEng in Electrical Electronics Engineering (University of Sheffield, UK) in 2005, MSc in Microelectronics (University of Malaya) in 2009 and PhD in Microelectronics (LJMU,UK) in 2014. Her research interests include emerging technologies in wearable electronics, semiconductor reliability and testing, advanced semiconductor modelling and IC design. She has co-authored in more than 20 journals and conference proceedings. She has collaborated with industries namely INTEL (Malaysia), MIMOS (Malaysia), Infineon Technologies (Malaysia), Motorola Solutions (Malaysia) and IMEC (Belgium) as well as academic institutions namely Liverpool John Moores University, UK. She has secured research grants from the Newton Fund (Royal Academy of Engineering, UK), Sciencefund (MOSTTI, Malaysia), FRGS (MOE,Malaysia) and internal research grants in University of Malaya. She is affiliated with the IEEE and IEEE Electron Devices Society, and has organised and served as a technical committee for a number of IEEE conferences since 2014. An awardee of the MIMOS Prestigious Award 2014 and shortlisted for the Newton Prize in 2017.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. ROHANA BINTI JANI

Dr. ROHANA JANI is currently serves as a Specialist attached to the Department of Decision Science, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya (UM). She received her Doctorate (Statistics) from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, MSc (Statistics) from West Virginia University, USA and BSc (Mathematics) from Ohio University, Athens, USA. She has more than two decades of teaching experience in the field of mathematics, statistics and quantitative data analysis. Her areas of expertise include Statistical Data Analysis using Multivariate Techniques, Quantitative Research Methodology, Market Research, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) applications. Her research areas cover issues related to human resources, higher education, gender, youths, disabilities, aging and sexual reproductive health, among which are Family Planning Practice Study in Malaysia; Graduate Tracer Study, MOHE, Malaysia; Studies of Students with Disabilities in HEIs; Quality of Life (QOL) of (PWDs) in Malaysia;  Work and Employment of People with Disabilities in Malaysia; Attitudes towards people with disability and Streamlining Disability into Mainstream Society; Impact of COVID-19 on Deaf Community in Malaysia and A Study of Gender Imbalance in Education. Among her publications include; Gender Differences In Learning Support and Academic Achievement; Persons with disabilities Education and Quality of Life: evidence from Malaysia; Understanding Autism through Intervention Programs; Psychometric Properties of the WHO Quality of Life Disability (WHOQOL-DIS) among Persons with Disabilities in Malaysia; Prevalence of and Factors Associated with Smoking among University Of Malaya Students in Malaysia and Soft Skills And Graduate Employability: Evidence From Malaysian Tracer Study
