Dr. Maizatul Akmar Ismail is an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. Her academic qualifications were obtained from Universiti Malaya (UM) for her Bachelor's and Ph.D. degree, and the University of Putra Malaysia for her master's. Maizatul leads a research team in the areas of Information Systems specifically on Educational Technology, Recommender Systems, and Data Mining. She has been actively publishing more than 100 research papers at renowned local/international conferences and highly reputable journals, and is currently an Associate Editor of Malaysian Journal of Computer Science.  Maizatul has participated in many competitions and exhibitions to promote her research works. She has been appointed as Competition Judges for several international innovation competitions.    

Dr Veenesh Selvaratnam is a Consultant Orthopaedic, Robotic and Hip & Knee Surgeon at University Malaya Specialist Centre and University Malaya Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His private practice is in University Malaya Specialist Centre. He is also a senior lecturer in University Malaya. He completed all his Orthopaedic training in the UK. He is a UK Fellowship trained robotic hip and knee surgeon. He was appointed a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Manchester University Hospital, UK in 2020. He spent 18 years in the UK prior to returning to serve in Malaysia via TalentCorp Returning Expert Programme. He served in the Ministry of Health (KKM) Malaysia and is a KKM recognised sub specialist Arthroplasty (Hip & Knee Joint Replacement) surgeon. As an infectious diseases physician, lecturer, and researcher at Universiti Malaya, I focus on advancing research through randomized controlled trials to improve treatment strategies for infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. I am dedicated to optimizing antimicrobial therapies in critically ill patients by integrating pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics principles to achieve better therapeutic outcomes.
