Raja Hisyamudin bin Raja Sulong merupakan staf akademik di Jabatan Siasah Syar'iyyah, Akademi Pengajian Islam Universiti Malaya Kuala Lumpur. Beliau berkelulusan B.Sh (Hon) dalam bidang Siasah Syar'iyyah (major) dan Ekonomi (minor) dari Akademi Pengajian Islam Universiti Malaya, M.Sc in Information & Library Management, Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK, M.Litt in Islamic Jerusalem Studies, University of Abertay, Dundee, Scotland dan PhD dalam bidang pemikiran politik Islam dari Universiti Malaya. Bidang kajian beliau adalah pemikiran politik Islam, Siasah Syar'iyyah, dan Sains Politik Islam.

O’Regan is an internationally recognised surgeon, educator, and advocate for excellence in surgical training. Currently serving as Professor in the Medical Education Research and Development Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, Professor O’Regan combines decades of clinical experience with a passion for educational innovation. He previously held a distinguished clinical career as Consultant Adult Cardiac Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (UK), where he was celebrated for his mentorship and commitment to professional development and quality in heath delivery. A pioneer in simulation-based and low-fidelity skills training, Professor O’Regan founded the Black Belt Academy of Surgical Skills (BBASS) — an international educational community now engaging more than 5,000 participants across 135 countries. He also established the Yorkshire Heart Centre Wetlab, securing significant funding to develop a state-of-the-art surgical skills centre, and directed the long-running PAR Excellence and PAR Aorta training programmes, both recognised for outstanding educational impact. His leadership roles have included Director of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, where he shaped national strategy, strengthened professional standards, and introduced the FST Medal for Distinguished Services to Surgical Training. He was President of the Association of Surgeon in Training where he initiated and coordinated the Silver Scalpel Award to identify the best surgical trainer of the UK for twenty-two years. Professor O’Regan’s contributions to education and mentorship have been recognised with numerous honours ; Visiting Professorship at Imperial College London, and a shortlist nomination for Most Innovative Teacher of the Year at the Times ASEAN Awards (2025). Through ICOSET, he continues to inspire a global community of educators, surgeons, and learners — promoting a culture of mastery, humility, and continuous growth in surgical practice and education.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. GIRIBABU NELLI

Dr. Giribabu Nelli is an Associate Professor of Physiology at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, with expertise in reproductive endocrinology, diabetes, obesity, and natural products. His strong academic background includes a PhD from Sri Venkateswara University, Andhra Pradesh, India) and an M.Sc. from Sri Venkateswara University, India. His prolific research career is marked by over 77 ISI-indexed publications, 5 book chapters, and three patents, demonstrating significant contributions to reproductive biology and pre-clinical research. This impactful work is further evidenced by substantial grant funding secured as both principal and co-investigator, totalling nearly RM 2.5 million. A dedicated mentor, Dr. Nelli has successfully supervised 4 PhD and 7 Masters students to completion, fostering the next generation of researchers. His contributions extend to his leadership roles as Academic Editor for prestigious journals such as PLOS ONE, the International Journal of Endocrinology, Frontiers in Endocrinology, and Frontiers in Physiology and Associate Editor for the European Journal of Medical Research. Dr. Nelli's international recognition is highlighted by numerous invited talks at prominent conferences, showcasing his expertise in personalised medicine for endocrine disorders. His leadership is further exemplified by his role as Co-Chairman of the International Conference on Reproductive Science & Medicine. His research consistently bridges preclinical and translational studies, establishing him as a key figure in personalised drug discovery. His impressive career at Universiti Malaya encompasses various academic and administrative roles, including coordinating elective courses and serving as an academic advisor for MBBS students. His dedication and excellence are recognised through the University Malaya Excellent Service Award (APC) in 2018, 2019, and 2021, and the Excellent Service Certificate (SPC) in 2022. He currently serves as President of the Society of Phytopharmacology and Research.
