Dr. Noer El Hidayah Binti Ismail, is a Senior Lecturer at Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya. She completed her Doctorate, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Geophysics from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Her areas of expertise are geophysics near surface utilizing geophysical methods such as electrical, seismic and potential methods. As a senior lecturer, she teaches geophysics related courses, statistics and data analysis courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She also supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students in geophysics related researches. She has several postgraduate students that is currently under her supervision and completed their studies. She is currently the Program Coordinator of BSc Applied Geology and has also involve in other administrative works as well. As a researchers, she has several grants as principal investigator (PI) and also co-researchers with other researchers from different field. She also has published research articles in various refereed journals and conference proceedings indexed by ISI and Scopus. Other than publishing research articles, she also has reviewed various journal manuscripts from various Journals/Conferences such as Environmental Earth Sciences, Sains Malaysiana, Geological Society of Malaysia, Journal of Physical Science, Jurnal Fizik Malaysia, International Journal of Geophysics, Journal of Sustainability Science and Management and others. She is currently one of the Associate Editor of the Malaysian Journal of Science (MJS). She also has some experience in consulting geophysical studies involving near surface research.
show more »Muhammad Khalis Ibrahim is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Islamic History, Civilization, and Education at the Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. His research interests include Islamism, Islamophobia, and Turkish studies, with particular emphasis on political history and contemporary thought. He has published actively in indexed international journals, including Journal of Al-Tamaddun, Indonesian Journal of Islam and Muslim Societies, Qudus International Journal of Islamic Studies, Akademika: Journal of Southeast Asia Social Sciences and Humanities, and Islamiyyat, among others. His first monograph, Perkembangan Islam di Turkiye: Dari Era Khilafah hingga AKP (in Malay), received a Special Award from the Malaysian Academic Publishing Council (Majlis Penerbitan Ilmiah Malaysia–MAPIM) under the category Anugerah Buku Ilmiah Bahasa Melayu Terbaik (Best Malay Academic Book Award) at the 16th MAPIM–MoHE Award. Currently, Muhammad Khalis is further exploring Islamophobia in Malaysia, in particular, and globally more broadly, through a history-of-ideas approach alongside decolonial discourse within contemporary Islamic civilizational studies.
show more »NOR ANIZA ABDULLAH is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT), University of Malaya, Malaysia. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Malaya (UM), obtained a Master’s degree in Interactive Multimedia from Westminster University, London, and earned her PhD in Computer Science from Southampton University, United Kingdom, in 2006. She served as Deputy Dean of the Equitable Society Research Cluster, UM (2016-2018), Deputy Dean of Undergraduate at the Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology (FCSIT), UM (2011-2013), and Head of the Multimedia Unit at FCSIT (1999-2003, 2007-2011). In 2002, she was Lead Internal Auditor for the Faculty of Engineering during UM’s first MS ISO 9001:2000 internal audit. She was Quality Manager for FCSIT (2012-2013) and chaired the UM Student Council Selection Audit Committee in 2012. Between 2012 and 2013, she led a committee to study and enhance the quality of programming courses at the faculty. She received the UM Excellence Service Awards in 2001 and 2013. Her research interests include personalized e-learning, recommender systems, medical image processing, intelligent multimedia, deep learning, sentiment analysis, mobile crowdsourcing, and augmented reality. She has authored or co-authored 80 publications in the Web of Science (WOS - h index 15) and Scopus (h index 21).
