Dr. Mohideen Salihu Farook graduated with Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS), India in 2005. In 2010, he obtained his MDSc Prosthodontics (Fixed and Removable) from University of Dundee, UK. He successfully passed his Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry (MFD), Ireland in 2019. He was awarded Membership in Prosthodontics (M Pros) by Royal College of Surgeons, England in 2022, Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) and Speciality Membership in Prosthodontics M (Pros) by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow in 2023. Dr. Mohideen is an Associate Professor in Department of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry since 2011 and he is a consultant in the faculty’s dental hospital. His research supervision includes postgraduate programmes such as Master by Research (MDSc), Clinical masters (MClinDent, MOSc and DClinDent) and PhD. Currently, he is involved in many research project locally and internationally and he had published many of his works in recognised international journals. He was awarded grants for his research projects by the university and the industry in Malaysia. He received many awards for his research project presentations locally and internationally. In 2019, he received Excellent service award by Faculty of Dentistry, University of MalayaIn 2023 and 2024, he has been appointed by the Royal College of Surgeons of England as an examiner for the speciality prosthodontic exam (M Pros) RCS (Eng) and general dentistry exam MFDS RCS (Eng) respectively.
show more »Asyraf Isyraqi Bin Jamil is a Senior Lecturer at Islamic Education Programme, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Previously, he worked as Substitute Teacher at Sek. Men. Keb. Sg. Layar, Sungai Petani, Kedah and Instructional Designer for Arabic language courses at Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU), Shah Alam, Selangor. He was born in Kedah on April 30, 1984 (29 Rajab 1404 AH). His educational journey started at Islamic primary school of Ma'had al-Tarbiyyah al-Islamiyyah Dar al-Ma'arif, Sungai Petani, Kedah. Then, he attended Islamic secondary schools of Da'irah al-Ma'arif al-Wataniyyah (DMW), Kepala Batas, S.P.U., Pulau Pinang as well as Maktab Mahmud, Alor Setar, Kedah to complete his secondary education. He received the Arabic Language Certificate from Pusat Bahasa Arab, Nilam Puri, Kelantan and Diploma of Islamic Studies from Madrasah al-Hidayah and Majmak Ilmi Ali (MINDA), both in Sungai Petani, Kedah to start his educational journey at higher level. He continued his study and graduated with honors from al-Azhar University (Tafahna al-Ashraf Branch), Egypt and Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, both in Islamic Studies. He was then offered to further study under scholarship of IPTA Academic Training Scheme from Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia and University of Malaya, before embarking on his career at the university itself. He is now a PhD-graduate from University of Malaya with areas of expertise in thought, institution, history, administration, and comparative of Islamic education. Born as a Malaysian, he is absolutely a native speaker of Malay language. He also speaks Arabic and English, both as his second intermediate languages. Moreover, he has the basic knowledge pertaining Persian, Turkish, and Mandarin languages.

She has held key leadership roles, including Chair of the Centre for Research in Language Education (CRiLE), Head of the Department of Language & Literacy Education (2015–2018), and Deputy Director of the Centre for the Initiation of Talent and Industrial Training, driving impactful research and curriculum reforms. Her academic excellence has earned her prestigious recognitions, such as the Fulbright Scholar Fellowship, Visiting Scholar appointments at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Washington, and the Asian University Alliance Scholar. Prof. Juliana plays a vital role in enhancing academic standards as an External Program Assessor and consultant for leading universities and education programs. Her research, supported by the British Council, the Ministry of Education, and Universiti Malaya, focuses on teacher professional development, second language pedagogy, and bilingual education, directly influencing policy and classroom practices. Beyond academia, Prof. Juliana actively contributes to national and international educational advancement. She has served as an External Program Assessor for leading institutions locally and internationally, such as Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Indonesia, ensuring academic rigor in language education programs. As a consultant and advisor, she has played a key role in shaping curriculum frameworks, including the BED Primary program at the Institute Pendidikan Guru Ilmu Khas and Universiti Utara Malaysia. A prolific author and advocate, she has published extensively on language education and has been instrumental in shaping national and institutional curriculum frameworks. Through her leadership and scholarship, she continues to elevate language education standards and empower educators, making a lasting impact in the field.
