Biography | |
NG Boon Kwee is Associate Professor at the Department of Science and Technology Studies, Universiti Malaya where he teaches technological innovation management, science policy and industrial development. He is currently the Head of Department of Science and Technology Studies. He obtained his PhD in the field of Technological Innovation Management from Universiti Malaya in 2011. His research primarily focuses on Policy and Management of Science and Technology with special areas of interest include industrial science and technology policies, cluster innovation, and innovation for inclusive development. Most of his published works highlight the important roles of social networks and embeddedness for national and regional innovation systems. He is currently leading research projects on social innovation and inclusive development. He has been invited as consultant or resource person of consultancy projects commissioned by both international and national agencies, such as Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), International Development Research Centre Canada (IDRC), Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Academy of Sciences Malaysia. He is the recipient of Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Scholars Award 2019-2020. He is currently the Editorial Broad Member of Asian Journal of Technology Innovation, member of International Scientific Committee of ASIALICS (Asian Association of Learning, Innovation and Co-evolution Studies) and member of Steering Commitee of Malaysia National Science Center collaborative network. |
